[9 months after the Era Meteors Shower]
In a quiet corner of the Royal Capital, a subtle change from the original timeline occurred. For some unprecedented reason, the elf mage of the Hero's Party was in labor.
"What do I do? What do I do? I'm becoming a father. What do I do?"
A man with striking blue hair muttered anxiously to himself, pacing back and forth. His name was Himmel, the brave hero who had defeated the Demon King, now thrown into a state of panic because he had no idea what to do next.
"Calm yourself, Himmel. It's not like the end of the world."
A bearded dwarf attempted to console the troubled man. His name was Eisen, the stoic and dependable warrior of their party. Despite his gruff exterior, he had always been a constant presence in times of crisis.
Himmel stopped his pacing for a moment, looking at Eisen with furrowed eyes. "But what if something goes wrong? What if she—"
"Relax, Frieren can handle the childbirth, so she's fine."
A green-haired priest reassured him with a serene smile. His name is Heiter, the sympathetic healer of their group. He's a calming presence that often soothes the nerves of the party in tough situations.
Himmel took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart. "I know, I know. It's just...this is so different from fighting demons or facing the unknown. This...this is real life."
"We know," Eisen declared while patting Himmel on the back.
Meanwhile, Heiter placed a reassuring hand on his friend's shoulder. "And you're not alone in this, Himmel. We're all here for you and Frieren."
"Aaaaarghh!!"
Just then, a loud cry reverberated from the room where Frieren was giving birth. Himmel's eyes widened, and he rushed toward the door, only to be stopped by Eisen's firm grip.
"Hold on, Himmel. Let them finish."
"But Eisen, Frieren is—"
"She is strong, so let the midwives handle this."
With those words, Himmel calmed down and took a seat near the room along with Eisen and Heiter, waiting for the labor to finish.
-------------------------------------------------
Minutes felt like hours as Himmel, a nervous wreck of a man, waited nervously with his two companions by his side offering silent support. Eventually, the door opened, and one of the midwives stepped out with a smile on her face.
"Congratulations, Sir Himmel. You have a healthy baby boy."
Himmel's legs nearly gave out as he stood up, and relief began flooding his entire being. He looked at Eisen and Heiter, who all shared in his happiness, nodding at him proudly.
"Did you hear that, guys? I have a son!" Himmel exclaimed, his voice trembling with joy.
Eisen's usually stern face broke into a rare smile. "You did well. Now go and see your family."
"That's right, go ahead," Heiter agreed, his eyes twinkling with pride. "Frieren and your son are waiting for you in that room."
Himmel nodded at their encouraging words and rushed into the room with his heart beating rapidly. Inside, he found Frieren lying on the bed, looking more serene than he had ever seen her. Soon, she noticed his presence and smiled calmly.
"What took you so long? I could hear you shouting out there," she teased gently.
Himmel approached her, his eyes brimming with emotion. "Frieren... Our child, where is he?"
Frieren gestured to a small bundle nestled in her arms. Himmel slowly leaned over and gazed at his newborn son, marveling at the tiny features. The baby had a clump of silvery-blue hair like his father and a pair of pointy ears like his mother.
"He's perfect," Himmel whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
Frieren nodded, her eyes softening as she glanced at their child. "Yes, he is. What shall we name him?"
Himmel thought for a moment, and then he smiled. "Siegfried..."
"Siegfried? Why is that?" Frieren asked curiously.
The husband chuckled before explaining, "Because he is our first victory in the era of peace."
"I see, so Siegfried it is then," she acknowledged with a rare warmth in her gaze. "He is sure a victorious child."
Himmel kissed Frieren's forehead, overwhelmed with appreciation and devotion for his new family. He knew that this moment marked the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives, one that was filled with endless possibilities and shared happiness.
--------------------------------------------
A few minutes later, Eisen and Heiter entered the room to check on the two couples and a heartwarming sight greeted them. Himmel sat beside Frieren, who held their newborn son, Siegfried, with a tender embrace.
As the two party members approached, Eisen's stern expression decompressed and his gruff demeanor gave way to genuine warmth. "That is one sturdy lad. Great job, you two."
"That's right, congratulations to the both of you," Heiter acknowledged as he reached out to touch Siegfried's tiny fingers. "He's such a beautiful child, I might bless him later."
Himmel beamed with pride, while his gaze never left his son. "Thank you, Eisen, Heiter. We couldn't be happier without you two here."
With those remarks, the room was filled with a peaceful and joyous atmosphere. The once formidable group of heroes, now settled into the roles of companions and family, sharing a moment of quiet celebration in front of the newborn.
Eisen then turned to Frieren, noticing her serene expression. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired, but happy," she answered the question, her usually stoic face unwound with a gentle smile. "Honestly, it's a new feeling for me. I'd never expect to come to this point."
"That's true," Heiter concurred as he chuckled. "I never thought I'd see the day when Frieren, the legendary mage of the hero's party, would be holding a baby."
Himmel laughed, his voice full of appreciation. "Life is full of surprises, isn't it? And this is just the beginning of the story. Our story."
The group settled into a restful silence, each member lost in their thoughts. The journey that had brought them together, filled with battles and tribulations, is now a distant memory. Yet, their bonds, forged stronger than steel, were deepened by the arrival of new life.
While looking down at Siegfried, her child, Frieren's heart swelled with a strange yet pleasant warmth. Himmel's hand found hers, and they shared a look of reciprocal love. Their story was far from over, but with friends by their side and their son within their reach, they were ready for whatever came next.
