Chapter 21 - A Weapon Fit for a god

"Now that you know what's at stake, let's get on with your training." Noakh had noticed that Elijah lacked a soul weapon. This was not good. There's no way he could take another step forward on this path without one.

"Tell me, Elijah. Do you know the true difference between humans and gods?"

Elijah pondered for a moment, but could tell what he was thinking was not the right answer.

"No, I don't."

"The ability to bend Creation to your will."

Elijah's mouth gaped at this revelation. "How can one do such a thing? I thought only the Creator could?"

"If a man cuts down a tree and uses its wood to build a shelter for himself, is that not imposing his will upon Creation? All mortals possess this ability to an extent, but only gods and goddesses have are capable of doing it on the level your about to reach. When you are ready, you'll be able to use your own divine energy and will to create anything you want from objects to creatures to entire spaces. Of course, this is a lot of power. And it is why all gods and goddesses are bound by Enoch's Law and the Archons. You're new at this so well have you start with an object. You are quite the warrior, I see. When I examined you as you slept, I saw that you have trained with just about every weapon known to the human world. So, let's have you create a weapon."

Elijah did his best to keep up and process this, but it is difficult, if not impossible, for anyone to grasp something that surpasses their imagination.

"Could you show me how it's done?" Elijah asked Noakh.

"Of course." Noakh then went into a meditative state and began chanting.

"Laaaammmmmmm....Vaaaaammmmmm....

Raaaaammmmmmmm.....Yaaaaammmmm...Haaaammmmmmm....Ooooommmmmm...."

Then the light around Noakh began to intensify, bend, and twist until it collected in his hands and began to take a shape. Soon, a golden goblet appeared in his hand and it was full of wine. The rich aroma filled the forest. Elijah could tell this was no ordinary wine. But he still thought it was odd to use such a god-like power for this purpose.

"Maybe he only made a cup of wine because this is only an example?" Elijah thought to himself.

As Noakh came out of his trance, he looked at the wine and smiled.

"Ahhh...this here is what has made eternity bearable, my boy." He then took a sip. As soon as the liquid touched his lips his entire body relaxed and became warm as if he were bathing in intense sunlight.

Elijah still felt this was odd, but he realized that an eternity alone would be hard to bare for any soul. Surely a coping mechanism would be needed in such an existence.

Noakh chuckled as he sensed Elijah's thoughts. "That didn't help at all did it?"

Elijah didn't want to be rude so he tried to make a little sense of what he saw.

" It helped some. It looked like you channeled your own energy to make that goblet of wine, but I'm not sure exactly how you did it. And what was that chant? I've never heard one like it."

"Truth be told the chant was for you, I no longer need it."

Another goblet of wine instantly appeared in his other hand.

"See?"

Elijah was a bit taken back by this."Then why do all that?"

"As I said, you're new to this. You need to learn the process before you can master it. The chant allows you to bring forth energy from the seven pools of energy in your body. You know about them, yes?"

Elijah nodded. "Yes, I know there are 7 enegery centers in the body and thar we must keep them pure, aligned, and potent."

Noakh drank both cups of wine before responding.

"Very good. Now, what you must do is to consciously cause these energies to resonate with each other in divine harmony. Then give that combined energy focus by the power of your imagination. Everything that exists had to exist in the imagination before it could become part of Creation. Whether it comes from the imagination of a human, a god, or the Creator the principle is the same. Once the image of what you want to create is detailed enough, your desire is powerful enough, your will is strong enough, and your energy is abundant enough to bring it to this world, the object will appear in your hand."

Elijah realized he was learning a sacred technique not meant for humans and the fact that he was truly heading toward godhood began to sink in.

"Are you ready to begin, Elijah?" Noakh asked.

"Yes. What do I do first, Teacher?"

Noakh smiled at this, but didn't comment on his new title.

"First imagine a weapon. One that is ideal for you. This weapon will be your soulmate. You are going to bring it forth from your very soul, after all. In battle, it will be part of you. You will not even be able to drop it. If someone tries to take it, it will instantly return to you. And in times of peace, it will reside in your spirit-body until you call upon it again. Ever ready."

Elijah's eyes widened at the mystic qualities of such a weapon.

"For the enemies you will face, you will need something that channels and delivers your divine power efficiently. Do you have a weapon in mind?"

As if on cue, a vision of a weapon appeared in Elijah's mind.

"I do, Teacher."

"Good. Now meditate on it day and night. Imagine every detail. See it in your mind's eye with the greatest precision possible. Its length and all of its dimensions. Feel it in your hands, see yourself fighting with it, pour into it your desire to be with the one you love, to protect her, and to protect all that you hold dear. Do that for seven days and I shall return."

"Yes, Teacher."

Elijah wasted no time and begin to meditate on the vision of the weapon in his mind as instructed while emotionally charging his mental image with the powerful feelings he felt for Zemyna.

"Soon, my love. I'll be ready to stand and fight beside you. I'm taking another step toward you now. Nothing in Creation will keep me from you and no one will tear us apart."

With that conviction, Elijah's energy began to harmonize and build to extraordinary levels.

Noakh sensed it while he was on the other side of the dimension.

"Thoth, you shrewd god. I knew you had a hand in this boy." Noakh smiled to himself as he was beginning to see the hand of Fate in motion.

"This will be interesting..."
