Zemyna found herself in a strange place. Everything about it felt different. The energy here was not the kind of energy she was used to feeling in the Nine Heavens. She had to acclimate to it before she could tackle whatever challenge awaited her. So she chose to begin to meditate. As her spirit body began to replace the old energy with this new one, she felt herself becoming stronger, more confident, and closer to the Creator. But before she could bask in this new power, a being approached her that redefined what was possible. Zemyna had never met anyone stronger than her before. So, this entity she felt coming toward her was quite a shock because Zemyna could not even gauge its strength.
"I hope my challenge isn't to fight this being..." Zemyna throught to herself.
"Don't worry, child. Defeating me is not your task at this gate." The goddess said.
Zemyna opened here eyes in response and her senses were overwhelmed by the dazzling sight before her. The goddess before had skin that looked like the night sky which was partially covered by a silver robe, eyes like fire that radiated with divine love and immeasurable power, hair whiter than snow, and three sets of wings. One set of wings protruded from the back of her shoulder, the second from her lower back, and the third were a tiny set that stemmed from just above her heels. Zemyna could only describe her as a Supreme Being, a True Goddess.
"Is this what I will look like at the end of the trials?" Zemyna couldn't help but wonder this. And yet again, the goddess heard her thoughts and responded.
"If you choose to. Now young one, your body has acclimated enough to be able to see and communicate with me. What do you notice about this place?"
Zemyna took a deep breath to center herself before responding.
"I noticed that the energy here is far richer than any I have encountered so far. This place is a true paradise. Everything from the plant life to the animal life feels more alive than it does in even the ninth heaven. There can only be one explanation for this, we are in a higher density."
The goddess smiled. "It seems that your grandfather has taught you well."
Zemyna was shocked by hearing this supreme being mention her grandfather.
"You know grandpa Thoth?" She asked bewildered.
"Is that what he calls himself now? I knew him as another name, but that was ages ago. Now, there are things you're grandfather was forbidden to teach you, but it is time you learned. After all, you will soon play a vital role in restoring balance to Creation. And you need to be strong enough to deal with the coming threat."
Zemyna was puzzled at first, but then she remembered her mother's prophecy in the council chamber. What exactly was she involved in?
"I know, dear one. You think your here to earn the right to be with your Elijah. But that is only a byproduct of your true purpose here."
Again stunned by how much this goddess knew, Zemyna was silent for a moment. Her heart ached as she missed Elijah, but then she chose to focus on task since the quicker this is over, the sooner they can be together.
"What is my true purpose here, Supreme One?"
The goddess laughed. "I suppose I must seem as such to you, but I am not a Supreme Being. You may call me Sophia. And you are here to gain the strength needed to defeat my son, Yaldabaoth."
Once the goddess uttered that name, a chill went through Zemyna. It felt like her very essence was just disturbed by the mere mention of her foe.
"In truth you and your family will face many entities, the likes of which you didn't know existed. My son and his army are not going to be easily dealt with. So, come. There is much work to be done."
Zemyna followed Sophia in the air as she began to fly away. They soon came upon a cave that had been sealed by a barrier.
"Your first test is in there, young one. My son in his army are trapped in a prison which I have sealed in a dimension separate from this one and the home you call the Nine Heavens. But they will soon break free to wreak havoc across Creation once again. The weakest of his army, are creatures that they have used their own malice to corrupt; turning them violent and insane. I have one such creature sealed here. You must either destroy it, or restore it to its rightful state of being. If you manage either result you will pass. Oh, and do be careful, dear Zemyna. The creature's corruption can spread like a disease and consume you too."
And with that said, Sophia snapped her fingers and the barrier was undone. An unsettling presence immediately began invading the air around Zemyna. She had never felt like this before. It was like everything about what was inside the cave was just...wrong. It felt like it didn't belong in Creation at all. Zemyna's heart was troubled by this.
"How could this happen? Who could do this to a living a soul?" Zemyna now understood that her enemy was someone she was completely at odds with. Zemyna's nature is protect while this Yaldabaoth seeks to pervert and twist the natural order of things until it is no longer recognizable. She then steeled herself for this fight and the future ones to come.
"I will save this creature, I will save the Nine Heavens, and I will protect my family. I won't let a single life be claimed by those who oppose us. I am the goddess Zemyna and this is why the Creator sent me."
With that conviction Zemyna's heart was set ablaze and she decided to purify the creature before her, not destroy it.
"Give me strength my love, your Zemyna needs you."
After that final thought, Zemyna charged into battle.
