After the play, Alaric savored the joyful chatter of parents and children as he walked Lucy to her grandmother's mansion. The sky had deepened into shades of indigo, twinkling stars peeking through the clouds as they strolled along the path. Lucy, still buzzing from her performance, recounted every moment with animated gestures.

"And then, when I forgot my lines, I just made up something! Did you see the audience laugh?" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

"I did see that," Alaric replied, chuckling. "You handled it like a true pro. I'm sure everyone loved your creativity."

As they approached the grand old mansion, Alaric felt a sense of warmth envelop him. It was a place steeped in memories, both good and bad, where family ties bound them together. They entered through the heavy wooden door, which creaked slightly as it swung open.

"Big bro, I had so much fun today! Can you come to my next play too?" Lucy asked, her voice laced with hope.
