Sabrina, her face flushed with rage, glared at the couple. Her hands clenched into fists, knuckles white, as she spat out, "This isn't over yet. I will make sure to take Kiana away."

Evelyn replied nonchalantly, "Good luck with that." Avery almost snorted, barely containing her laughter.

Sabrina's eyes blazed with fury, her breath coming in short, sharp bursts. She gritted her teeth, feeling everyone's disdain, their judgment palpable. Glaring at Evelyn again she stormed out of the house, her lawyer scrambling to keep up.

"And John," Evelyn called out, her voice dripping with mockery, "make sure to put up a sign that says no dogs are allowed at the main gates. Some just love to barge in and bark loudly."

Avery burst into laughter, and even Zevian couldn't suppress a smile, recognizing Evelyn's imitation of his mother's recent remark about Sophia.
