As time passed, the sahuagin invasion ceased again and shifted to convert encroachment and development.
However, not long after the war in the southern region of the continent had subsided, a huge war broke out for the first time between the Crimson Nest in the east and the two camps led by humans.
The scale of this war surpassed all previous wars. The legendary dragon of the Crimson Nest met its fate. The human-led party also had a legendary fate, the dragon knight from the Reen Empire—Dion Beye.
The fate of the Crimson Nest side was the legendary black dragon, Brons. It was an extremely old black dragon that had followed the Crimson Mother thousands of years ago. During these thousands of years, on the verge of death, it finally broke through to the legendary level—the legendary dragon that achieved greatness.
The extremely old black dragon already had a strength that was barely comparable to that of a strong person who had just been promoted to Legend. However, after being promoted to Legend, its life essence jumped, and its strength increased exponentially. Once it was promoted to Legend, its strength was at the level of a strong person among Legends.
However, the strength of the Dragon Knight of the Ryan Empire was also extraordinary. He had already reached the level of Legend hundreds of years ago. After hundreds of years of training, his strength had improved even more. Coupled with an extremely old bronze dragon partner who barely had legendary strength, the two of them used secret techniques together, and the strength they unleashed far exceeded the ordinary legendary level.
The battle between the two sides lasted for several hours. In the end, the legendary black dragon Brons fell into a disadvantage, was injured, and fled. The two sides temporarily stopped the war.
It turns out that Dion Beye's extremely old bronze dragon finally broke through to Legend status a few years ago.
One person and one dragon—both legends. This is the truly complete legendary dragon knight.
After this battle, the reputation of the dragon knight Dion Beye quickly spread across the entire continent, and a large number of forces were convinced. They were no longer as fearful and panicked as before.
The Crimson Nest is not invincible.
Thousands of years ago, it could sweep across the continent and cause countless casualties. Thousands of years later, it may not be able to do the same today.
Times have changed.
But this is just the opinion of most of the forces with little foundation who are optimistic.
Those who truly inherit the heritage and history know that the truly noteworthy thing about the Crimson Nest is never the legendary dragons, but the Crimson Mother.
Although the legendary dragon is powerful, who can become a legend without being a genius?
Many legendary powerhouses compete at various levels at the master level. After reaching Legend, even if they are reduced to ordinary legends, this does not mean that their talents are average. It can only be said that those who can become legendary powerhouses are all extremely talented.
Strong.
When everyone is at a similar level, they will naturally fall from genius to "ordinary."
Only the more outstanding geniuses can continue to compete at the legendary level.

I am still very concerned about the war between the Crimson Nest in the east of the mainland and the human-led camp.
Although it would not be of much benefit to me regardless of who wins, it is the lesser of two evils. Compared to the victory of the human-led camp, I am more inclined to see the Crimson Nest win.
While I was working hard to improve my strength and having fun, the messenger of the Crimson Nest, the mature red dragoness Carolina, came to visit.
"Please make a move and join the battle?" Black Dragon repeated, his red dragon eyes showing an extremely indifferent expression.
When the red dragon Carolina saw the black dragon's appearance, she sighed in her heart, knowing that there was a high probability that she would not be able to persuade the black dragon lord to participate in the war this time.
"As far as I know, there are still several legendary dragons in the Crimson Nest. They are not allowed to take action. Why do you ask me to take action?" I asked strangely.
"The whereabouts of those princes have been watched by the strong men on the human side, and they will be noticed if they make any move. Only you—your strength is unknown to them. Next, we will also let the legendary green dragon, Clever Majesty, take action against the Bronze Dragon Knight. If you suddenly make a sneak attack, we will surely kill that Dragon Knight."
Carolina explained.
I was a little stunned.
I see.
According to this logic, if I join the war, there is indeed a high probability that I can kill the bronze dragon knight in a surprise attack. But I'm not a real legendary dragon.
With my current strength, I might be the one who dies if I make sneak attacks on the dragon knight Dion Beye, who is considered a strong one among the legends.
In front of these old guys who are hundreds of years old and one or two thousand years old, I, who is twenty years old, am a real little buddy.
"I refuse." I responded lazily.
Carolina sighed, as expected.
But she couldn't force a legendary black dragon.
Just when Carolina was about to leave, the black dragon lord behind her stopped her.
"Although I won't be participating in the war in the short term, we can make a deal."
"What deal?" Carolina wondered.
"I can send the monster legions of Black Wing Lair to participate in the war," the Black Dragon Lord said with a grin.
"Monster Legion?" Carolina felt a little disappointed after hearing this.
What did she think it was? As for the monster army, there were tens of millions of monsters in the Crimson Nest territory, ranging from low-order monsters to high-order monsters and master-order monsters.
Even though nearly a million monsters were killed or injured in the year after the war was launched, the war potential of the Crimson Nest is still huge and is increasing all the time. Many monster clans in the mainland, having heard of the Crimson Mother's reputation, took the initiative to travel across mountains and rivers to seek refuge, including large monster clans with a population of tens of thousands—jackals, trolls, troglodytes, goblins, etc.
Coupled with the exaggerated reproduction rate of many low-order monsters, if birth restrictions are relaxed, the Crimson Nest will be able to grow an army of one million low-level monsters in two months.
Therefore, for the Crimson Nest, low-order monsters are completely cannon fodder, and the only restriction is food.
At this moment, Carolina was still secretly muttering in her heart that instead of sending the monster army, it would be more useful to replace it with food.
I saw Carolina's disappointed look, but I didn't care. Instead, I asked Sophia to take her to have a look.
Half an hour later, after seeing the elite strength of the Black Wing Lair monster legion, Carolina's attitude changed quickly.
"Your Majesty, what do you want to trade? Magical knowledge? Or various slaves?" Carolina asked in a slightly eager tone.
The Black Dragon Lord cannot be persuaded to participate in the war, but if she can lead an elite monster army back with all intermediate members, it will be a great achievement.
Today, there is a merit system in the Crimson Nest.
The more merits accumulated in the war, and after the war is won, the more and better the territory and population will be allocated. Therefore, the Chromatic evil dragons in the Crimson Nest are very active in this.
A million low-order monster legions are not worthy of the Crimson Nest's concern, but a ten thousand mid-order monster legion with each having a profession and being fully equipped is worthy of the Crimson Nest's concern.
Low order, intermediate order, advanced order, master order (top order)—each stage is a jump in strength.
A large number of intermediate monsters can already pose a sufficient threat to master-level experts on the battlefield.
After all, legendary strong men cannot easily fight to the death. They all value their lives extremely. For them, this war is nothing more than a war of reshuffling interests. Therefore, whether it is the legend of the Crimson Nest or a legend from the human-led camp, both sides have a default rule.
That is—legendary strong men are not allowed to massacre legion soldiers on a large scale. Legends can only fight against legends.
Once this rule is broken, no matter which side wins, it will only be a miserable victory. In the end, all the people under the subordinates and the victorious rule will die, leaving only the bare commander. How can any benefits be obtained?
It's basically two giant beasts fighting each other, and the winning side gets a big cake as a prize. If the big cake—the final prize—is smashed to pieces, then what's the point of fighting?
Therefore, in this case, anything that can help in the war below the Legend level is worth taking seriously.
Seeing that Carolina was moved, I grinned and said:
"I don't want any mage knowledge or slaves. I just want dragon beasts. Any kind of dragon beast can be exchanged for a hundred elite mid-order monster warriors from Black Wing Lair for ''landing' until the war ends.'"
"Dragon beasts?" Carolina was stunned for a moment. Then she came to her senses, asked again for confirmation, and received affirmation from the Black Dragon Lord.
Carolina was a little confused by the strange idea of the Black Dragon Lord, but if a useless dragon beast could be exchanged for a hundred intermediate monster warriors, even temporarily, it would definitely be profitable. So, she nodded in agreement without hesitation.
Although dragon beasts are not weak when they grow up, and they generally possess high-order strength, the problem is that dragon beasts that survive to maturity are very rare.
To be precise, it is very rare to see Chromatic dragon beasts that grow to maturity. There are many Metallic dragon beasts because Metallic dragons will not abandon or kill their dragon beasts. Instead, they manage and raise them collectively—not because Metallic dragons consider dragon beasts as one of their own, but out of an act of kindness.
"But the number of Chromatic dragon beasts is too small."
---
After leaving, Carolina was still pondering.
Chromatic dragon beasts are either killed by their dragon mother from the moment they are born or driven out of the dragon's nest. There is basically no third option.
Under such circumstances, although many dragon beasts are born every year, less than one in ten actually survives.
"By the way, the Black Dragon Lord said there is no restriction on species," Carolina's eyes lit up.
She thought of the large group of dragon beasts raised by the Metallic dragons.
Although they raise dragon beasts collectively, the Metallic dragon beasts are not housed on Dragon Island. Instead, a separate area is designated for them.
The Metallic dragons are already kind enough to raise dragon beasts instead of letting them fend for themselves. However, they won't allow dragon beasts to eat and live alongside them. After all, dragon beasts are simply beasts, even if they carry dragon blood.
Among humans, the difference is comparable to that between a human baby and a degenerated, ignorant monkey baby.
Not killing or abandoning them but instead feeding and raising them is already an act of kindness.
Even among humans, many abandon or kill babies born with physical defects, let alone offspring that degenerate into primitive creatures distinct from their race.
Additionally, we should acknowledge the inherent pride found within all dragon races, regardless of their type, color, metal, or gem.
In fact, if you compare the behavior of Chromatic dragons with various human behaviors, one'll find it's not as cruel as it seems.
The more Carolina thought about it, the more feasible the plan seemed.
But before that, she decided to locate all the Chromatic dragon beasts she could find.
With Carolina's efforts, she traveled far and wide, even deploying a large number of monsters in the Crimson Nest to aid the search. In just one month, eighty-six dragon beasts were sent to the Black Wing Lair.
Among them, red and blue dragons accounted for the largest number, followed by black and green dragons. The weakest white dragon beasts were the fewest, which inversely mirrored the strength rankings of Chromatic dragons.
The reason for this lay with the Blue Dragons.
As is well-known, Blue Dragons tend to gather in groups for warmth, forming massive families, wreaking havoc across territories, and establishing large domains.
To achieve this, the Blue Dragon families collect a large number of dragon eggs and young true dragons wandering in the wild, signing contracts with them to become part of their family. Not all of these dragon eggs hatch into true dragons.
When dragon beasts are hatched, the Blue Dragon family's approach differs somewhat from the other four Chromatic dragons.
They raise their dragon beasts as large creatures, training them to serve as charging beasts and dragon shields in war.
While this practice results in some casualties among dragon beasts, it significantly increases their survival rate compared to being abandoned or killed at birth.
At the same age, the stronger red and blue dragons naturally enjoy higher survival rates compared to green or black dragons. Although white dragons are the most numerous at birth, they also suffer the highest mortality rate.
In Blue Dragon families, the status of white dragons and their dragon beasts is low. The former generally hold a low rank among true dragons, while the latter often serve as high-order cannon fodder.
---
I was very satisfied with the eighty-six dragon beasts Carolina sent.
The satisfaction stemmed from both the quantity and efficiency. Additionally, dragon beasts generally possess a certain level of strength. Most of these dragon beasts were decades old, with only a few newly born.
On their first day at Black Wing Lair, all the dragon beasts were injected with void blood.
"Most of these dragon beasts have intermediate strength. With the transformation by the power of the void, they will become a group of high-order intelligent dragons within a few years." A smile crossed my face.
Dragon beasts infused with void bloodlines gain intelligence, and their dragon bodies become stronger than those of true dragons of the same order. However, as degraded dragon beasts, their dragon breath, dragon power, and spell-like abilities suffer a significant reduction. While one aspect is enhanced, another is weakened, resulting in void dragon beasts being on par with ordinary dragons of the same order.
But what interests me is not the prospect of these dragon beasts growing into high-order beings in a short time. Even outstanding high-order combat power holds little significance for me or Black Wing Lair.
I saw farther ahead.
A high-order dragon in a few years is nothing. But what about a large number of master-order dragon legions, comparable to adult dragons, in ten or twenty years?
A relentless swarm of dragon legions roared defiantly at the heavens, their sheer might and destructive potential immeasurable. As the years passed, the Feast knew no bounds, an unending indulgence that hinted at the limitless power Overeat could bestow.
With my dragon armies at my command, I could conquer planes like Tal with effortless ease, reducing entire realms to submission without lifting a finger. Why waste energy hunting when I could simply recline in unparalleled luxury, surrounded by my radiant beauties, basking in their adoration while the universe trembled at the mere mention of my name?
If that isn't enough, what about fifty years from now?
Even if this group of dragons never breaks through to the Legend level, reaching the 18th or 19th order and becoming legends through the profession system is highly feasible. With all the time they need, the weakest among them will have the strength of the second elite echelon below Legend, capable of easily defeating ordinary 19th-order professionals. The strongest among them will belong to the first extreme echelon, capable of battling two Legends.
With the original four dragon beasts led by Antonio and the newly added eighty-six, Black Wing Lair now has exactly ninety dragon beasts.
Decades later, if they survive, they will form a force of giant dragons with combat power approaching Legendary.
Currently, the Crimson Nest has gathered most of the Chromatic dragons in the Tal plane. The number of 19th-order Chromatic dragons under its command is likely just a few dozen—probably not eighty or ninety but closer to thirty or fifty, or even fewer.
Yet even such a group, combined with a few Legendary dragons and the Crimson Mother, can create immense chaos across the Tal plane, challenging the continent's and plane's dominion.
"Decades later, Black Wing Lair will be a replica of the Crimson Nest." A gleam of determination flashed in the Black Dragon Lord's crimson eyes.
What surprised the Black Dragon Lord, however, was that the dragon beasts Carolina delivered were just the first batch.
