The best part? Void Feast did more than just heal my wounds. It restored my stamina, strength, and even my magic reserves—something no other natural regeneration could do, as it consumes all three for the recovery. Each time I used it, I felt the surge of energy coursing through me, repairing my body and replenishing my strength.
Injuries that would've slowed down even the mightiest of dragons were now just minor inconveniences. But now wasn't the time to kill these little devils; they were too valuable to waste. I would need them later.
For now, I'd let them live. But their time would come.
A sharp crack of thunder split the darkened skies as I descended upon the battlefield, my obsidian wings casting a menacing shadow over the Voltan family's stronghold. Flickering lights from their encampment shrank beneath my looming presence, soldiers instinctively recoiling in terror as I landed, scales gleaming with a cold, metallic sheen under the storm's light.
"Black Dragon, you are very interesting!" boomed a voice across the field, carrying a smug confidence. I turned to face the speaker, a towering figure with twisted iron horns jutting from his head. It was Idris, a horned devil whose red eyes gleamed with malicious curiosity, studying me with a predator's gaze. While Idris had faced metallic dragons before, this was his first encounter with a black dragon—and the intrigue in his eyes was unmistakable.
"Horned devil," I muttered, feeling the potent aura radiating from him. He was powerful, at least sixteenth-order—a devil not easily summoned. The Voltan family had staked everything to ensure my end.
And summoning is also very dangerous; the devils are really unscrupulous.
We looked at each other.
"Kill him!" a sharp voice cut through the air, snapping Idris to attention. I recognized it instantly as Victor's, his voice thick with urgency, transmitted telepathically to his summoned devil.
Horned devils have simplified telepathy and can communicate with intelligent creatures within a certain range.
So Victor's voice was audible to Idris.
He stopped talking nonsense but flapped his huge wings and flew directly towards me.
Idris's eyes lit up with savage glee, and with barely a pause, he launched himself toward me, steel fork raised. His wings beat in a dark blur, and in an instant, he was upon me, the prongs of his weapon aimed straight for my skull.
Twisting mid-air, I evaded the strike with practiced ease.
"Good reflexes!" he snarled, pleased, before launching another flurry of attacks.
The steel fork in his hand attacked my head.
I turned around nimbly in the air to avoid the blow.
'The reaction speed is good!' Idris praised.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Suddenly, an onslaught of blazing fireballs streaked through the sky, crashing against my scales with explosive force.
"I hit it!" said a group of underground spellcasters happily.
After a burst of huge flames flashed, my unscathed figure appeared in the air. Flames washed over me, licking my scales harmlessly.
I cast my cruel gaze on several human spellcasters in the distance.
It is rare for devils and human spellcasters to fight dragons together.
"How is this possible?"
Several human spellcasters looked at my figure in disbelief.
They were high-level fire magicians.
Moreover, this is a black dragon, not a red dragon, and its resistance to flames is not very high.
How could it be unscathed from the meltdown flame bombs that several of them jointly cast in front of them?
I felt my body was warm, and the atomic furnace inside my body seemed to be absorbing the heat from the surface of my body.
This made me feel refreshed.
"Forbidden!"
At this moment, a transparent net ripple swept across my body.
Suddenly, I felt that the magic power in my body could no longer assist my flight.
"Another air-forbidden magic!"
This air-forbidden magic was much stronger than the air-forbidden magic used by the Shadar tribe before.
So much so that my body suddenly began to drop.
Idris, who was on the side at the moment I fell, did not miss this opportunity.
He threw the steel fork in his hand directly, aiming at my head.
He also followed from behind.
At this moment, I turned my head to look at the steel fork.
And the steel fork pierced directly into my mouth.
Idris stopped.
He didn't expect this black dragon to be so stupid that it would be dealt with like this?
No, things are not that simple!
Kacha, kacha~
Under Idris' shocked gaze, I ate Idris' steel fork as if chewing a bone.
"Did you really think that would stop me?" I sneered, meeting his eyes as I spat out the shattered metal.
Idris froze, surprise flashing across his face, the edges of fear creeping in as he began to grasp the full measure of my power.
After I swallowed the steel fork, my scarlet eyes stared at the horned devil in front of me!
"I don't know what the horned devil tastes like!"
Idris's heart tightened suddenly.
He felt that something seemed wrong.
Boom!
My body hit the ground hard.
The few soldiers brought by Victor were immediately swept away by this behemoth and the shockwaves that followed.
Some who were not afraid of death even tried to pierce my scales, which were harder than steel, with the spears in their hands.
I swatted these soldiers away casually, like a mortal beating mosquitoes, turning them into pureed meat.
"Give it to me!"
Seeing this, Victor ordered the brutal Holy Shield next to him to surround him with a weapon in hand.
I shook my head and stood up; this level of impact was nothing to me.
After I slapped a soldier who was still screaming on the ground with a random claw, I spread my wings and looked at the horned devil in the sky.
A red light flashed in Idris's hands, and a new trident appeared in his grasp.
He was not one of those little devils; although the opponent was more difficult than he had imagined.
Idris roared down while flapping his wings, and his huge size caused a burst of suffocating pressure.
The other spellcasters were also ready, and the magic light on their bodies was constantly shining.
The spell-casting materials in hand had already been prepared.
It was bound to make this black dragon fall here.
"Superweight!"
I felt my body suddenly become heavy, and at the same time, the ground under my feet became loose.
"Quicksand!"
Several spellcasters jointly cast the earth-type intermediate magic, Overweight, and Quicksand.
Because the dragon's magic resistance was too high, they didn't cast offensive magic.
Instead, they intended to control my movement.
These two kinds of magic were often used to deal with large monsters.
In their view, there was now forbidden magic in the sky.
And Idris the horned devil attacked from the air.
There were also powerful warriors, such as the brutal Holy Shield, on the ground.
They just needed to control this violent dragon, and everything would be a foregone conclusion.
Only my scarlet eyes could be seen in the smoke.
The brutal Holy Shields charged forward with giant swords, unafraid of the giant dragon in front of them.
I looked at these guys who wanted to eat me alive and felt calm.
I started to run the atomic furnace in my body.
And unlike before, this time I didn't prepare to breathe out.
Instead, I kept running the atomic furnace all the time.
Until my chest revealed a red light.
It finally seemed to have reached a limit, and the golden threads on the surface of my scales began to glow.
The red patterns on the two dragon horns were getting brighter and brighter.
"Roar!"
In their view, I seemed to have turned into a dark golden dragon.
This is exactly one usage of the atomic furnace tested by me.
I call it an Overdrive mod.
In this state, my various attributes would be improved by almost five times.
Both defense, speed, and breath would be greatly strengthened.
It's just that the atomic furnace had to recover for a while afterward.
The huge bat wings began to flap, and the Holy Shield of Brutality was blown back by the violent airflow before it even got close to me.
Bang! Bang!
With this power, my entire body directly broke through the Quicksand and Overweight spells.
I rushed directly to the front arrogantly.
The consequences of such a giant dragon rampage can be imagined.
Although the brutal Holy Shields were constantly trying to attack me, their power was too weak relative to me.
Their giant swords couldn't break through my body defense at all.
The bodies of the brutal Holy Shields hit by me exploded like tomato cans one by one.
"His purpose is us spellcasters! Everyone be careful!"
One of the casters said suddenly.
I rushed towards them almost undetected.
The horned devil Idris didn't pay attention to the yelling of these humans.
For him, these humans were not much different from bugs.
To die is to die.
The key is to close your own deals.
This is the rule of the devils.
"Earth Wall!"
"Mud Swamp!"
"Ice Wall!"
…
In a hurry, the spellcasters could only cast a lot of elementary magic to try to stop me.
But these were meaningless to me, no different from paper.
The earth wall collapsed, and the ice wall shattered…
Finally, I rushed in front of these casters.
Several people still wanted to escape, but how could I let them go? My dragon claws went straight forward.
The fragile bodies of the casters couldn't stop my attack at all.
Their magic shields were also as good as having none.
"Help!"
"Damn dragon!"
...
"I watched as the few tiny humans in my claws exerted all their strength.
Immediately, countless pieces of minced meat burst from the cracks in my claws.
And Idris's yellow eyes lit up; the opportunity had come.
The horned devil directly went for my neck with the trident, and there was some kind of sea-blue water wave on it.
The halberd blade on the trident transformed into a huge sea beast head and bit me right away.
This trident is different from the previous one.
This is the spoil he obtained when he crusaded against a small plane of the Sea Clan.
It is said to be the weapon of the royal family of the Sea Clan.
There are enchanted bonuses such as sharpness, armor penetration, serious injury, blood loss, etc. on it.
He was sure it would pierce the black dragon's neck directly.
I had just finished dealing with several spellcasters and looked up at Idris.
At that moment, Idris's trident was stabbed directly.
Puff~
The trident pierced directly into my shoulder and could no longer penetrate.
"How is this possible!"
Idris looked at me in disbelief. He began to charge from a high altitude, and the powerful weapon he wielded was not guaranteed to kill in one hit.
"It's my turn!"
My throat began to glow blue.
Idris felt bad for a moment.
He wanted to draw back his weapon, the trident.
But it was too late!
Then a faint blue breath spat out from my mouth and hit Idris head-on.
"Ah~"
When Idris was hit head-on, he instantly felt an extremely powerful heat.
He sensed that the heat was more terrifying than the hellfire he had experienced in the blood war.
The red scales on his body even started to melt at rapid speeds.
I took this opportunity to grab Idris's arms directly.
My sharp dragon claws pierced firmly into Idris's body.
Idris forcibly activated a spell in the Hell's language.
"Devil Sacrifice!"
I saw the bodies of countless little devils still fighting on the battlefield begin to dry up.
Pieces of death.
And the aura surrounding Idris began to increase continuously.
The injuries on his body started to heal rapidly, and his muscles continued to grow.
Black devil lines began to appear on the surface of his body.
His body also began to grow.
Until it reached nearly nine meters.
Idris stared at me intently.
His clawed backhand also grabbed my arm.
"Black Dragon, don't underestimate me!"
Idris was already a little crazy at this point.
He felt cheated.
What is just a sub-adult black dragon?
Is this a black dragon?
Wasn't it said that the black dragon is a large lizard that lives in the mire and only spits acid?
The loss of so many little devils this time made him feel extremely distressed.
Be aware that friends who can perform Devil Sacrifice are not easy to breed.
According to the regulations on the contract, in human terms, he had directly lost money at his grandma's house this time.
Even if he kills this black dragon and gets another five thousand souls, it will still be a big loss.
"How could you push Idris to this point?"
Watching from the sidelines, Keane was very surprised.
Unexpectedly, the black dragon had actually kept so many trump cards when he fought with him last time.
If he had used this state to fight against himself last time, then his death should have been quite miserable.
The transmission may not be opened.
As expected of a cunning Chromatic dragon!
Seeing Idris's ferocious face and murderous eyes, Keane felt a chill.
It seemed that Idris was in trouble this time.
There may be no chance of cooperation in the future, and he had thought it would be an easy task.
He could not only avenge himself but also complete the deal with Victor.
He could also sell some benefits to Idris along the way, laying a solid foundation for future transactions.
But it all went to waste.
"Victor, the strength of this black dragon has far exceeded our expectations; you must pay more!" Keane looked at Victor next to him.
This old guy is not simple either.
In addition to letting his men go down to die, he had been sitting on the sidelines.
There was no sign of panic at all.
"Our transaction must abide by the contract, and you didn't investigate the strength of the black dragon, did you, Jean? Didn't you say that this is at most a hybrid of a black dragon and a red dragon? Did I remember incorrectly?" Victor said calmly.
"You..." Keane choked.
He wanted to trick Victor, but he didn't expect to be outsmarted.
"I won't give you any of my extra souls!" Victor said.
One cannot ask for anything from these devils.
Otherwise, what would he take Victor for?
Soul maker?
Ha ha!
Victor sneered inwardly.
He looked at Idris, who was still fighting me in the distance.
Fight, fight!
It would be best if you two died together, and I could still get some pure devil materials.
These stupid devils have such a powerful bloodline but can't exploit it.
Only such a simple and rough battle.
The brutal holy shield researched by my family based on the blood of devils is much stronger than these low-tier devils.
And Turom and his own research on the blood of devils are above these guys.
Seeing Victor, Keane knew that the old guy had done nothing good.
But it didn't matter; they were in a relationship of mutual use.
I and the horned devil on the opposite side had already fought for several rounds.
The horned devil was extremely difficult to deal with under the bonus of Devil Sacrifice.
Not only was his power much stronger but his defense and self-healing abilities were also extremely potent.
I had bitten off his arm several times, but it had all been restored by this guy.
Even his throat had been torn once by me, and he had recovered.
I wanted to kill the horned devil in the same way I had killed the Digger Worm last time.
But the horned devil was different from the guy with the low IQ like the earth digger.
He didn't give me too many chances.
I pondered.
It wouldn't work like this; I couldn't maintain the overload state for long, although it seemed that the other party's state didn't last long.
