"Until death!
So this is a desperate move. Shadar knows that after this battle, all the elites will be buried here, and their Evil Tooth tribe will be over.
He just hopes that Lord Barbatos can see that they can shelter those old, weak women, children, and trolls who are still in the camp at the cost of their lives.
In this way, their Evil Tooth tribe will prosper again!
...
"What is that?"
At this time, everyone at the scene suddenly felt a sense of depression.
Turom looked up, and before he could react, a terrifying roar came over.
A ferocious black dragon flew across the sky in an instant.
What followed was countless acid liquids, and the soldiers were corroded by the acid liquid, and there was a burst of screams.
It was only then that Turom realized that they were attacked by a black dragon!
Before he had time to think about why the black dragon appeared here so fast, Turom realized the seriousness of the matter.
Although he had never seen a real dragon, he knew that the oppressive breath just now was the power of the black dragon, and this dragon was bigger than an adult in size.
It's just that the appearance seems to be different from the black dragon he knows.
The most important thing is that his army has never had the experience of dealing with dragons.
"The brutal holy shield strikes, blocking the black dragon's attack!"
The six brutal holy shields pulled out their huge swords and stood at the front of the team to stabilize the formation. They were not affected in any way because they didn't even know what fear was.
Seeing the black dragon fly over from a distance again, Turom carefully retrieved a massive ballista from his enchanted storage tool, its size, and weight far beyond that of any ordinary weapon. The immense, three-meter-long bolts gleamed dark red, etched with mysterious runes that pulsed faintly with arcane power. Each symbol whispered of potent enchantments, intricately woven into the bolt, enhancing its deadly precision and destructive force.
This wasn't just any siege weapon—this was the Giant Scorpion Ballista, a formidable creation designed to bring down the mightiest of beasts, including dragons. But this particular one was even more extraordinary, a personal gift from his lord, bestowed upon him for a singular purpose: to slay a dragon.
The ballista had been crafted with the most sophisticated magics, each enhancement carefully selected to target and cripple a dragon's defenses. It was said that no ordinary monster could withstand a direct hit from its bolts, but what made this weapon truly legendary was the single enchanted arrow it carried—its most prized and dangerous asset.
This one bolt, unlike any other, was a rare artifact of the seventh rank, its power nearly incalculable. The spells layered upon it had elevated it beyond a mere weapon—it was now a priceless relic. Turom could only imagine the resources and connections his family lord must have had to acquire such a powerful magic prop. The weight of the responsibility pressed down on him as he prepared the ballista. He knew this was his one shot—one chance.
He himself was an eighth-level fighter, and his strength was extremely powerful under the blessing of his family's grudge.
Enough to drive this giant scorpion crossbow.
It's a pity that these spellcasters are too low-level to quickly cast powerful anti-air magic.
As long as the black dragon loses its ability to fly and is dragged into the quagmire of the army, with the strength of the brutal holy shield and the attack of the entire army, even the giant dragon will die.
But before that, he had to hit the opponent first.
"The caster releases the magic cover, and your bows and crossbows, shoot him hard later, don't leave a single arrow!"
---
I looked at the army on the ground from a high altitude.
Generally speaking, if an ordinary army encounters an attack by a dragon as big as me, they will immediately scatter and flee, and the formation will be in chaos.
Just like when the black dragon lady just flew past the cities before, most of the soldiers in the city didn't have the courage to face a black dragon at all, trembling under the power of the giant dragon.
But the army in front of me quickly organized their formation and even planned to counterattack, which is a very rare thing.
I looked at these people with cold eyes.
Their purpose is already very clear: to snatch the ore veins!
And the ore is related to the progress of my feast...
If these people don't let me make a feast, I will die of old age, and if I don't want to die, I can only let these people die!
I swooped down again, trying to use some breath to break a gap for Shadar and the others.
Suddenly, several huge fireballs and ice arrow spears shot towards me.
"Is it just these attacks?"
I sidestepped, dodging the frost arrows, fireballs, and some spears.
The remaining few fireballs were directly resisted.
"Bingo!"
Several casters in the distance said happily.
They are sixth-level spellcasters, and the fireball technique used by four sixth-tier spells together is extraordinary. It must be uncomfortable to be hit head-on by this kind of attack.
After the flames disappeared, my intact figure appeared on the spot.
"How is this possible!"
Not to mention the black dragon being injured; there wasn't a single scratch on my scales.
"Launch!" At this moment, the crossbowman on the ground shot out the crossbow in his hand.
But I flew too high; these arrows were ordinary arrows. Even if I stood in front of them, they couldn't break through the defense.
Call out...
"Swiss!!"
An arrow hidden among other arrows hit me directly at the base of my right wing.
I looked intently and saw a middle-aged man in golden armor staring at me coldly in the human army, and beside him was a giant crossbow.
Apparently, the giant crossbow was launched just now.
My flight was inevitably affected by the shot on the right wing, but at that moment, I just used Levitation.
I experienced pain for the first time after my dragon scales reached level 10. It's quite frustrating. Since you want me to fight with you in close quarters, then do as you wish.
I retracted my wings and swooped down directly.
---
"Hold me!" Turom shouted as he watched the black dragon charge towards him.
This black dragon actually dared to fight them in close quarters, and Turom seemed to see the dawn of victory.
The soldiers resisted their fear and picked up their giant shields to deal with it with all their strength.
In fact, if it weren't for the six-and-a-half-foot-tall brutal holy shields in front of them, it is uncertain whether these soldiers could still stay where they are.
"Boom! Rumble!"
I fell head-on into the army like a meteorite.
Imagine the destructive power of a dragon weighing more than hundreds of tons falling from a high altitude.
For a moment, countless screams, as well as the collision of steel and flesh, erupted.
The shields of the sword-and-shield fighters were instantly torn apart like paper, and flesh and steel were mixed together.
The line of defense was instantly defeated.
One of the six brutal holy shields was hit right under the body by mine without hesitation. For a moment, the brutal holy shield burst open like a canned tomato, flesh and steel mixed together.
And just like that, seven brutal holy shields were torn apart, and at this moment, a guy still had a breath; he slowly raised his hand holding the giant sword, and I gave him a claw, completely tearing him apart.
The other five brutal holy shields didn't have the slightest fear, and they slashed at me with the giant swords in their hands.
My scarlet eyes looked at these people indifferently. I had noticed them a long time ago. After all, normal human beings are not three meters tall, and they are not afraid of a true dragon at all.
The golden threads on the scales of my body shone slightly, and then the atomic furnace in my body began to exert force.
In an instant, a thick white high-temperature ray spewed out from my mouth!
The few pikemen who had just rushed up were hit by the white high-temperature ray breath.
The sword-shield hand and crossbowman who followed behind were not spared either.
"Ahhh!"
Their bodies were roasted and melted.
Immediately, the smell of grilled meat spread into my nose.
Armor can protect against physical attacks, but there is no way to prevent this kind of pure heat attack.
Turom's face is no longer calm; who can tell him why the black dragon has such a strange high-temperature breath?
It looks a bit like water vapor.
...
"It's really Lord Barbatos; this powerful figure is simply incomparable!"
Shadar stood up with difficulty, and the moment he heard the roar of the black dragon, he knew that the Lord was coming.
"Everyone, follow Lord Dragon King to kill the enemy with me!" Shadar picked up a long knife and shouted loudly.
"Shadar! Lord Barbatos has ordered you to lead the evacuation immediately!" a voice called out urgently, cutting through the tension. "Lady Danyla is already on her way!" At this moment, the air twisted. She appeared in front of Shadar and the others along with her words.
Winnie's appearance had transformed dramatically, her fully matured figure now standing at an impressive 6.9 feet tall. Her body was a striking blend of feline grace and draconic power, radiating an aura of both danger and allure. Her curvaceous form was perfectly proportioned, every curve emphasized by the tight black silk bodysuit that clung to her skin like a second layer. Over it, sleek black armor accentuated her athletic build, combining functionality with elegance, while a full-length cloak draped from her shoulders, adding an air of mystery as it billowed behind her with every movement.
Her once youthful features had given way to a refined, seductive beauty. The sharpness of her jawline, the slight upturn of her lips, and the smoldering look in her golden eyes were enough to captivate anyone who laid eyes on her. Long purple hair cascaded in waves, now tied into a bun with strands flowing past her waist, thicker and richer than before. Her cat ears poked through her hair, twitching slightly, while three majestic cattails swayed behind her, each one hinting at the draconic power she had inherited.
Winnie was no longer the playful, innocent girl she once was; her aura now screamed power, seduction, and danger all in one. Her transformation into an early tenth-order being had heightened every aspect of her, from the sultry confidence in her movements to the deadly grace in her stance. She was the embodiment of lethal beauty—a cat-dragon hybrid that was both tantalizing and terrifying.
"What?"
"This is the master's order. Do you want to disobey?" Winnie said, looking at Shadar.
These trolls will only die in vain, and as Lord family members, they cannot die so worthlessly.
Shadar turned around and looked at the thirty or so frost trolls clenching their fists fiercely behind him.
"Let's go!" Shadar gritted his teeth and said.
...
Looking at the countless dead and wounded soldiers and the brutal Holy Shield Turom, who was struggling to persevere, a red light flashed in his eyes.
He crushed a red gemstone in his hand and said softly, "Liberation!"
At the same time, the five brutal Holy Shields below began to change.
The thick armor on their bodies began to fall off automatically, revealing their true faces.
Blue-black skin, red eyes, and dark lines on the body surface.
There were still some small red scales on their backs; they were completely inhuman.
The bodies slowly swelled and became larger, and two huge horns protruded from their heads.
The nails on both hands grew longer and longer, like a beast.
Turom knew that this was the final form of the Holy Shield of Brutality, and its strength was a world apart from the normal state.
There was some kind of magic circle on the armor on the body surface, which could not only provide a certain protection for the brutal Holy Shield but also, the most important point was to seal their power.
The reason for this was that the Holy Shield of Brutality could only continue to fight for about a quarter of an hour in this form, and then it would exhaust all its energy and die.
He couldn't help but notice the drastic changes in these guys.
'What caused this transformation? And how in the world did they jump from the 11th order to the 13th?'
The wings that were just injured recovered quickly after secretly throwing a few hydrotherapy spells.
The magic was just that powerful.
Several brutal Holy Shields transformed into these half-demons rushed towards me.
One of them jumped up with straight legs and wanted to attack my back.
I stared at the opponent and then bit him like lightning. One must know that the sharpest part of my body is my teeth and claws, along with the special effect of armor-sharding.
There was a sound of broken bones.
The black stripes on the opponent's body surface fluctuated, but my teeth were too sharp.
Unsurprisingly, the brutal Holy Shield broke in two.
"The black dragon's bite force is so strong?"
Turom was taken aback.
The black dragon in front of him made him feel that he had underestimated the true dragons before.
Not to mention other things about the unsealed brutal Holy Shield; he had personally tested how tough their bodies were after forceful liberation.
Steel is far from being able to compare with the body of the brutal Holy Shield, and it gets much tougher after the liberation transformation.
I looked at the few remaining people, as well as the soldiers rushing up from the side, and the man who fired that arrow, who was staring at me not far away, flew up directly.
ROARRRR….
I roared angrily when several brutal Holy Shields wanted to stop them.
I used Wild Scream.
Immediately, everyone on the battlefield felt their blood tremble.
Spellcasters and high-level fighters were especially aware.
The magic power and vindictiveness in their bodies were more sensitive, and it felt like their magic power was out of control instantly.
I seized the moment and soared into the sky, watching as I just got the message from Danylan that Shadar, Winnie, and the others had already made their retreat and reached her.
Moreover, something about this half-demon transformation unsettled me. I knew demon and devil pacts existed, and I wasn't about to risk them pulling some unpredictable ability out of their asses. As someone familiar with these things—thanks to countless anime—I knew transformations like this rarely last long, especially ones that boost their power by two whole ranks. Their unstable state was clear, indicating they had limited time in this form. For all I knew, they could self-destruct at any moment, and I had no intention of being caught in the blast.
So just to be on the safe side, I decided to wait until their transformation was over before killing them.
"Stop him!"
Turom was in a hurry.
It was not easy for the black dragon to engage in close combat with them.
And if the Holy Shield of Brutality was liberated, if he was allowed to leave just like that, they would definitely not have a good life with the black dragon's vengeful character.
