Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Murder and Arson, Gold Belt

"But when Neil got home, he found that Kate had already emptied the house and disappeared without a trace, leaving only an empty wine bottle. Neil believed this empty bottle was a clue from Kate.

In reality, Neil never planned to run. Otherwise, how could the FBI have caught him at his home?

During my meeting with him today, Neil proposed a plan. Although his jailbreak would add four years to his sentence, he still hoped to get out soon, find Kate, and ask her what was going on.

He suggested cooperating with the FBI as a consultant for their white-collar crime division, the same division that had been chasing him and eventually caught him.

This way, he could leave prison and gain some measure of freedom.

What do you think of his idea?"

Moz rambled on, seeking Castle's opinion on Neil's wild plan.

Castle, familiar with the storyline, was too exhausted to critique Neil's plan. Yes, he could indeed make a deal with the FBI to get out of prison, but the FBI wasn't stupid. They wouldn't trust the infamous criminal mastermind Neil Caffrey so easily. They would put an ankle monitor on him and restrict his movements to within two miles. Moreover, the person controlling Kate was a high-ranking FBI agent named Fuller, who was after a Russian antique music box that Neil supposedly stole. However, Neil never got his hands on that music box. The complex and twisted situation was a headache. But Castle wasn't surprised by Moz's question, and he already had a plan in mind.

After a quick thought, Castle said to Moz, "Moz, I think the most important thing now is to get Neil out of prison first. The deal with the FBI isn't that difficult. I believe the FBI would welcome the help of someone as famous in multiple fields as Neil. But they will certainly restrict his freedom, perhaps with an ankle monitor.

But no matter what, getting Neil out of prison is a good thing!"

At that moment, Castle received a text from the Continental Hotel: "Dear Sir, your order has been completed. Thank you for using the Continental Hotel's services. We look forward to your next visit!"

The message immediately made Castle realize that Adam's body had likely been cremated by the cleaners.

Sure enough, with the arrival of this message, the system immediately issued a task completion prompt.

"Help Dr. Henry from 'Forever' get revenge. The plot-twist task is completely accomplished. The villain Adam is dead. Plot reversal is 100%. Rewarding the host with a random skill. Ps: The host can store the skill draw in the system. Two random draws can be exchanged for one designated skill!"

Seeing the familiar system prompt, Castle ignored it because he had experienced this kind of random skill reward accumulation several times before.

Now, the important thing was to discuss Neil's situation with Moz. Castle had a feeling that Neil, the master strategist, might bring him unexpected benefits. After all, they were friends, and Neil's release could compensate for his strategic shortcomings.

Moz had no idea that Castle had thought of so much in an instant. After considering Castle's suggestion for a while, Moz, holding a wine glass in one hand and unconsciously tapping the armrest with the other, analyzed the pros and cons for Neil.

After a long time, Moz looked up and said, "Rick, your suggestion is good. I also think the most important thing now is to get Neil out of prison. As for how he will find Kate after that, that's another matter!"

Castle laughed, "Exactly. I haven't seen Neil in a long time. When he gets out, the three of us should get together. By the way, about what I asked you yesterday, can you help me find some buyers to handle the art pieces in that room you saw?"

Having just finished discussing Neil, Castle remembered the room full of antiques left by Adam. With Adam gone, it was better to profit from those antiques than let the government take them. Besides, he had agreed with Abraham to split them. Now, Moz, who had the channels to handle those antiques, was the perfect person to help.

"What? You really plan to sell all the art pieces in that room? Are you kidding me?

Rick, do you know how much those pieces are worth? Selling them all at once would drive the art market crazy!"

"I know, but the owner of that room entrusted me to handle those items. What else can I do?"

Castle began to fabricate a story, making himself seem like someone tasked with a commission.

Moz gave Castle a meaningful look but didn't expose his poor acting. Instead, he said seriously, "Rick, trying to sell everything in that room at once is unrealistic. Just one item, like Tutankhamun's scepter, appearing on the market would cause a frenzy. Not to mention there are several items of the same caliber, like an authentic Monet painting!!!

Even if you want to sell them, you have to do it slowly to avoid disrupting the art market.

I can help you find buyers, but do you want to handle it yourself?"

Moz's words were reasonable, giving the inexperienced Castle some insight into the art trade. But Castle didn't plan to face the unknown buyers personally, so he looked at Moz again.

Seeing Castle's pitiful look, Moz sighed, "I must owe you and Neil a lot from a past life. Why else would God arrange for me to know you two troublemakers? I have to help Neil get out of prison, find out why his girlfriend left him, and now you want me to handle a room full of precious art pieces. Are you two trying to kill me?"

Despite his complaints, Moz finally agreed to help Castle sell the valuable antiques from Adam: "Rick, I promise to help you handle those art pieces, but I must remind you, the prices might be astronomical. Do you really want me to manage everything?"

"Moz, we are friends. If you really wanted those items, you wouldn't have given the keys back to me. If I didn't trust you, why would I leave you there alone? Stop saying such distant things. By the way, do you have a way to launder the money from those items?"

"Of course..."

Touched by Castle's trust, Moz smiled, raised his glass, and toasted to Castle!
