For Nen users, the absence of one arm is hardly a concern, at least, not for someone aiming to become a butler. That's Ashu's perspective.
Recruiting a ready-made Nen user wasn't an easy task, so Ashu had no intention of turning him away.
As for whether Noah would agree or not, Ashu didn't worry at all. He had figured it out; Noah had no intention of seriously recruiting anyone. He couldn't wait to go back, even accepting someone like Shizulu, a young girl.
Now, with a readily available Nen user like Noah, how could he refuse?
Thinking this, Ashu discreetly glanced at Shizuku, but was surprised to find her looking at him.
Why is this little one staring at me?
"Really?" Ruixi had snapped out of her daze by now but still couldn't believe it. She asked again.
How lacking in self-confidence can this woman be? Ashu rolled his eyes helplessly and said, "Really."
"Then it's settled. I accept," Ruixi turned around, squatting down and hugging Shizuku, wiping her cheek against Shizuku's and saying, "Shizuku, you're such a lucky child."
"Thank you for your praise." Shizuku stood obediently in place, allowing Ruixi to do as she pleased.
Done. Now there are six left. Exhausted, I'll just find a few people who look honest and decent. They probably can't resist the temptation of one million Jenny anyway.
Looking at Ruixi cuddling with Shizuku, Ashu thought to himself, then said, "You should pack up what you need to bring, and then we'll leave."
"Got it, boss~" Ruixi stood up with a cheerful smile, turned, and walked into the room behind the counter.
I'm not really the boss…
Ashu sighed helplessly in his heart.
"Ruixi Auntie, I'm back." Just then, the shop door was pushed open, and following that, a girl with a wheat-colored ponytail, dressed in white, entered. She was about the same age as Shizuku.
"Uh? Customers?" As soon as the girl entered, she saw Jell and the others standing at the door and instinctively took a step back, curiously sizing them up.
Hearing the girl's voice, Ruixi shouted from inside the room, "Evana? I told you not to call me Auntie, am I really that old? It's good that you're back. Shizuku is here too."
"Shizuku?" Evana was momentarily stunned, then her gaze went past Jerl and the others in front of her, and she immediately saw Shizuku standing by the counter.
"Oh, you're finally here! I've been looking for you for a long time these days!" When she saw Shizuku, Evana's eyes lit up, and she walked over in a straightforward manner, coming to stand in front of Shizuku.
"It's been a while, Evana."
"Isn't this the wrong time to say that? Where have you been all this time?" Evana reached out naturally, wanting to put her arm around Shizuku's shoulder, but Shizuku, with an expressionless face, pushed her away.
"Haha, you're still as unsociable as ever. We're supposed to be good sisters, you know. What's Auntie Ruixi doing?" Evana, who was pushed away, didn't show any embarrassment on her face. Instead, she smiled, put her hands behind her head, and said.
"Changed jobs."
"Changed jobs? That's great! Huh? What did you say? Changed jobs?" She subconsciously responded and then Evana was stunned, her mouth hanging open in surprise as she looked at Shizuku.
Shizuku nodded and pointed at Ashu, saying, "They've come to recruit people."
"Huh? Aren't you guys customers?" Looking in the direction Shizuku was pointing, Evana once again showed a surprised expression, combined with her slightly chubby cheeks, she looked very cute.
"Sorry to disappoint you, we're not customers," Ashu felt like his entire persona was crumbling as he even cracked a joke.
"So, if you changed jobs, does that mean Aunt Ruixi won't stay here anymore?" Evana, with wide eyes, slowly turned to look at Shizuku.
"Yeah," Shizuku nodded.
"So, if Aunt Ruixi isn't here, does it mean we can't come over for free food and sleepovers anymore?" Tears were already welling up in Evana's eyes.
"Yeah."
"And we can't come here to hide from those guys in the future?"
Ashu and his friends could tell she was on the verge of crying.
"Yeah," Shizuku replied calmly.
Hey, aren't you a bit cold-hearted? At least comfort her a bit; she looks so pitiful.
Watching Evana, who was about to burst into tears, and then looking at Shizuku, who hadn't changed his expression from start to finish, Jerl and the others couldn't help but sigh in unison.
"Waaaaah!"
Sure enough, the next second, this adorable little girl burst into tears, but what shocked everyone was that her tears only lasted for a second.
Evana instantly wiped them away and looked at Shizuku with a serious expression, saying, "Then let's work hard together from now on."
"Unfortunately, I have to go to work with Ruixi," evidently, Shizuku didn't buy into Evana's seriousness.
"What did you say?" Evana was taken aback and then put on a fierce look. She leaned in close to Shizuku's face, almost threatening, and said in a tone close to intimidation, "Are you saying that I'll be all alone? Are you sure?"
"Perhaps." Shizuku remained unfazed.
Her lips twitched, and Evana took a step back, clenching her fists under her chin, her eyes emitting a pitiful, tearful gaze. She said, "Ugh… Shizuku, are you really heartless enough to abandon me?"
"I'm sorry." Shizuku ignored her.
"Humph! I hate you! Waaaaah!"
Maintaining her "cute" posture for a few more seconds and seeing that Shizuku didn't waver in the slightest, Evana gave a haughty humph, then turned around and cried loudly, pushing past Ashu and the others to leave.
Ashu and the others stood in place, stunned by Evana's lightning-fast emotional changes.
"Impressive."
Watching the empty doorway, Wood couldn't help but utter a word of praise from the bottom of his heart.
"Well, I'm ready. Shall we go?" At this moment, Ruixi had changed into a striped shirt and was carrying a blue shoulder bag as she walked out.
When she saw everyone still looking at the door, she couldn't help but ask in confusion, "What happened?"
"Evana just ran out again," Shizuku explained on the side.
"Oh, did that kid throw another tantrum? Don't worry about her. Even if I'm not here, she can live happily," Ruixi said sincerely.
"We think the same way." Ashu and the others said in unison from the bottom of their hearts.
