"Your name is Noah, right?"
The moment he heard this voice, Noah quickly looked up.
Above him, there were only empty leaves and branches.
"I heard from Gatoh that your talent is quite good," this time, the voice came from behind Noah.
Turning instinctively, Noah only saw a solitary iron gate on the side.
"Fairly decent,"
The voice from above again, this time, Noah turned his head slowly, his gaze fixing on a black-haired youth sitting under a tree.
The youth appeared to be only five or six years old, dressed in a black short-sleeved shirt and shorts. On his handsome face, a pair of deep, seemingly bottomless black eyes were staring in this direction.
This guy? Could it be?
Looking at this youth, Noah's mind immediately formed a guess.
"I'm Illumi, do you know me?" The youth jumped down from the tree and approached Noah.
As expected.
Hearing the youth's words, Noah confirmed his guess in his mind. The youth before him was the eldest son of the Zoldyck Family, Illumi Zoldyck.
I've traveled quite early in the timeline. Illumi, who was so strong, is still just a little kid.
Noah thought, but his response was not slow. He first shook his head and then said respectfully, "I didn't know you before just now. Good evening, Master Illumi."
"You've already guessed my identity, haven't you? Well, it's not that hard to guess. The only people who can appear here other than the butlers are from the Zoldyck Family." When Noah guessed his identity, Illumi didn't show much emotional fluctuation. He walked slowly in front of Noah, looked up at this 'big brother' who was ten years older, and said.
"Aren't you curious?"
"What do you mean?" Noah looked at him, his body slightly lowering, as if to squat down and talk to him.
A finger appeared in front of Noah's eyes, and Illumi's expression became somewhat gloomy at this moment, and his gaze became sharper.
"Stop your movements; I hate it when people see me as a little kid."
Seeing Illumi exuding an undisguised killing intent, Noah was stunned for a moment, then stood up straight and said seriously, "Understood."
Just a few years old, yet he already has this level of intimidation. The Zoldyck Family people are indeed terrifying.
Seeing Noah straighten up again, Illumi's expression returned to normal. He smiled faintly and said, "You haven't answered my question from earlier."
"Do you mean the movement you just used to change positions?"
Nodding, Illumi's figure disappeared in an instant, and his voice came from behind Noah, "You haven't started learning Movement techniques, have you?"
Turning around, looking at the youth leaning against the tree, Noah's pupils slightly contracted.
Just now, Illumi was right in front of him, but even so, he didn't realize that Illumi had already moved behind him.
Is this Movement techniques? No wonder the Zoldyck Family is a famous assassination clan on the continent. This technique is truly terrifying. Even without Nen abilities, just mastering this skill is enough to instill fear in people.
"Do you want to learn it? I can teach you."
What does he mean?
Noah didn't understand Illumi's words.
Is this guy really so idle? When I watched the anime, it seemed that the Zoldyck Family's training was quite extensive. Does he have the time to teach me Movement techniques? What's his motive?
"As an exchange," unsurprisingly, just as Noah felt there might be something fishy going on, Illumi spoke again.
"You are to share your experience in learning Nen with me."
After hearing this, Noah looked at Illumi somewhat speechless.
Share my experience in learning Nen with you? Come on, I've barely been exposed to Nen for a day. I have no experience to share. If you want to learn, there are plenty of people who can teach you, right? Why come to me?
"I heard you also just learned Nen last night. I assume your use of it isn't very proficient either. All I need from you is to tell me how Nen is awakened and how to use it. Just these two points, and I will teach you movement technique in return. Besides them, there's also shadow step. This way, you won't lose out."
Shadow step? The move that Killua used when playing with Chairman Netero, which looked pretty awesome. But, I really don't have any experience to share with you. I can only tell you that I awakened my Nen ability by punching Ashu by accident.
"Um, Lord Illumi, about my Nen ability…"
Just as Noah was about to explain, he suddenly stopped because at that moment, a thought flashed through Noah's mind.
Why would Illumi come to him for knowledge? Not to mention the other members of the Zoldyck Family, even Gatoh and the others had a high level of proficiency in Nen application. If Illumi wanted to learn, why didn't he go to them? Could it be to test if I really mastered Nen? No, Illumi doesn't have that need.
So, if it's not a test, then Illumi truly wants to learn about Nen abilities. And the reason he didn't go to Gatoh and the others could be one of two possibilities: either he doesn't want to, or they don't want to teach him, or perhaps, they don't want to teach him at this moment.
In essence, Nen abilities are a manifestation of one's will. When a person is young, their character hasn't fully developed. Practicing Nen abilities during this time isn't conducive to growth. Only by starting to train Nen abilities at the right age can one achieve the maximum effect.
Thinking about this, Noah felt a chill down his spine.
Now he could almost confirm that the reason Illumi didn't seek out Gatoh and the others to learn Nen was that Illumi's age wasn't suitable for learning Nen. Gatoh and the members of the Zoldyck Family hadn't taught him, and they might not have even told him about Nen abilities. Yet, Illumi somehow found out about it and obtained information about his recent Nen awakening. Then, he came to Noah, wanting to learn some basic information about Nen abilities before Noah had the chance to discover the intricacies.
If Noah had inadvertently revealed this information, disrupting the Zoldyck Family's plans for training their children, given the Zoldyck family's nature, he would likely be in serious trouble.
As for Illumi, he was only considering his own punishment at most.
What was even more frightening was that Illumi clearly knew that if Noah told him about Nen abilities, he would undoubtedly be punished. Yet, Illumi still came to him and offered Zetsu and Shu as bargaining chips, wanting to use Noah's curiosity and greed to achieve his own goals.
As for Noah's fate afterward, it was obviously not within Illumi's consideration. To Illumi, Noah was just a tool to acquire knowledge about Nen abilities.
