Damien didn't waste time replying. He lunged for the Lifefruit again, his fingers closing around it. The branch snapped, and the fruit fell into his grasp.
Harnne roared in fury, charging once more. But before he could reach Damien, the beast re-entered the fray. Its massive paw slammed into the ground between them, sending tremors through the earth and forcing everyone to scatter.
The creature's head snapped toward him, its eyes blazing with fury.
Damien shoved the fruit into his satchel, grabbing Vynira's wrist. "We're done here! Let's go!"
The beast's growl deepened, its eyes narrowing as it watched the chaos unfold. Harnne and Turog didn't seem to care as their attention was still on Damien and the fruit he now held.
With a surge of primal energy, Damien lashed out, his blade meeting Harnne's axe with a loud clang. Sparks flew, and Harnne staggered under the sheer force of the blow.
