Inside the golden sphere, Damien felt the world twist and shift around him. The moment he had stepped through the glowing barrier, it was as if he had been pulled into another world. The air was heavy, thick with ancient energy that prickled his skin.
Damien glanced around and saw that he was alone in a primitive forest with gigantic sky-reaching trees. 'Everything seemed bigger than normal in here.' He thought to himself.
Damien stood still for a moment, taking in his surroundings. Massive trees loomed overhead, their trunks so thick it would take a dozen men holding hands to encircle just one. Their leaves, a dark green that bordered on black, swayed gently despite the stillness of the air. Vines hung low, thick and heavy, spreading over the branches like curtains.
There was a strange hum in the atmosphere, a feeling of something ancient watching from the shadows.
"Where...?" Damien muttered, his eyes scanning the environment. He was alone.
