The Revenant elder, the skeletal figure draped in shadowed robes, was the first to break the silence. His voice was cold, like the whisper of death itself. "Interesting," he murmured, his eyes glowing faintly as he turned to one of his disciples. "It seems the sphere has no tolerance for those beyond a certain level of power."

The disciples, still tense from the sudden surge of energy, exchanged nervous glances. Zareth, now standing but still clearly fuming, turned toward the Revenant elder with a snarl. "What are you suggesting?"

The Revenant elder's skeletal smile widened. "Merely a theory," he said, voice smooth and measured. "Perhaps the sphere's defenses are designed to reject those who have evolved beyond a certain threshold. It would explain why it struck you down so effortlessly."

Zareth's fists clenched on hearing the hidden mockery in the elder's words, but he said nothing. He couldn't refute the Revenant elder's logic.
