Panic surged through Delilah, mingling with the undeniable attraction she felt towards him. She shoved him away with all her strength, glaring at him with a mix of fury and desperation.

"Don't you dare kiss me," she warned, her voice trembling with emotion.

"A dare?" He asked, reminding her of what he had told her.

"You're disgusting, Blake. You think you can just waltz in here and... and what? Seduce me into forgetting the kind of person you are?" She asked and Hunter raised a brow, his expression hardening.

"And what kind of a person am I?" He asked, his eyes narrowing into slits.

"You are a parasite, a pathetic gold digger, who latches onto any woman with a fat wallet, and it would do you good to keep your filthy perverse hands to yourself," she warned.

"Is there anything I can do to change your opinion of me, Lila? Or has it already hit rock bottom?" Hunter asked slowly, fury warring with desire.
