Delilah tried to gather her thoughts, but the sight of him, so casually bare and sexy made it hard to think. "Why not? This is my house," she stammered, her voice losing its edge.
Hunter looked at her with mild amusement since he had been expecting her. He had known that if he asked Jessica to tell her not to disturb him, she would do just that since she was contradictory.
"Because it's late, Lila, and I'm exhausted. What do you want?"
"You... I mean why didn't you take my calls earlier?" She quickly corrected.
Hunter raised an eyebrow, a slow grin spreading across his face as he noticed her flustered state. "Jessica called not you. And didn't you say you don't care? Are you sure that was what you came to ask me? You look like you want something else."
Delilah clenched her fists, trying to mask her embarrassment with irritation. "You're infuriating, you know that?"
