As the waiter retreated, leaving the plates of exquisitely arranged food in front of them, Hunter leaned back in his chair, studying Delilah with a smile.

She seemed pleased with herself, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of triumph and something else he couldn't quite place.

"So, what are your plans for the weekend?" Hunter asked as he picked up his fork, twirling it between his fingers.

Delilah paused for a moment before responding, "I'm planning to visit some friends," she said, thinking about her visit to the orphanage and nursing home.

Hunter's brows rose slightly in surprise. He had never heard her mention any friends before. In fact, Delilah had always struck him as a bit of a lone wolf, someone who kept people at arm's length apart from her sister.

"Friends? I didn't know you had any," he said, his tone teasing but with an edge of curiosity.

A soft, enigmatic smile played on her lips. "You don't know everything about me, Blake."
