As soon as Hunter ended his call with Sabrina, he dialed Damon's number, wanting to check on him and also get his opinion on the issue too.
Damon picked up after a few rings, "You got Delilah drama to spill, or are you just missing me?"
Hunter chuckled despite himself. "Both. Wanted to give you an update on Delilah. Are you alright?" He asked, picking up something in Damon's voice.
There was a sigh on the other end. "Sure, man. But I could use the distraction. It's been a hell of a day. Lost a patient earlier." His tone grew somber, the weight of his profession evident in those few words.
Hunter softened his voice. "I'm sorry to hear that. Want to talk about it?"
"Not now," Damon replied, a sigh escaping him. "Tell me what's going on with you and Delilah. Have you finally sorted things out?"
Hunter exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Not exactly," he said, and then proceeded to tell Damon everything that had happened.
