Hunter's lips twitched in response, but before he could say a word, Emily was already tugging on his shirt, begging for attention. "Uncle Hunter, did you buy my dolls?" She asked, oblivious to the tension in the room.
Hunter glanced down at the little girl in his arms and gently kissed her forehead, "Not yet, plum, but you'll definitely get them," Hunter promised, then quickly raised his eyes to Damon.
"Hold on to her for a minute," Hunter said, his voice deceptively relaxed despite the tension coursing through him.
Damon frowned, a hint of confusion clouding his face as he looked between Hunter and Jessica. "What's going on?"
Before Damon could delve into his questions, Hunter turned to Jessica, who was now standing with her arms folded, watching him with a smirk, her eyes glinting with amusement.
"Relax, Blake. I haven't said a word to Delilah," Jessica said, her grin widening as she watched Hunter closely.
