Chu Yi saw the man with the scarred face lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious, and apparently lifeless, which caused him some alarm. Suddenly, the white fog burst forth from the body of the man with the scarred face, forming a cluster, although it looked rather thin. The white fog paused in the air for only a few seconds before plunging into Chu Yi's body in one fell swoop.
Chu Yi's pupils narrowed sharply. He thought he would meet the same fate as the man with the scarred face, but after waiting for a while, he felt no discomfort whatsoever.
Chu Yi glanced at Wang Ran on the ground, fearing more trouble might come their way. He pulled out the broken sword from the ground, hoisted Wang Ran on his back, and staggered toward the dense forest in the distance.
