"Sister Qin, why are you speaking such discouraging words before the competition even starts?"
Zhang Xiaowei rolled his eyes and admonished her with dissatisfaction.
Qin Yuru's brows were tightly knit as she looked around at the people registering.

Only Zhang Xiaowei stood out, wearing something akin to street stall garb.
He simply didn't seem to fit in with the contestants but rather looked like someone just there for the crowd.
"I'm just worried for you," Qin Yuru whispered to Zhang Xiaowei, "How about I ask the head chef to take a break from the restaurant? So what if we lose some business over lunch."
"Sister Qin, there's no need for such trouble; just watch," he insisted.
Zhang Xiaowei firmly rejected Qin Yuru's suggestion, determined to participate on his own.
In the square, the registration lines were getting longer.
