Mira sat back down, her smile weak and painful. She felt utterly alone. Zamian had told her to ask him anything, but every time she tried, he responded with those infuriating words: "Pass." Now, she was seething with annoyance, and there he was, as calm and collected as ever.
She turned her gaze to the waterfall, the sound cascading down the rocks, hoping it would ease her frayed nerves. The rhythmic splash of water seemed inviting, a contrast to the turmoil brewing inside her.
"Any more questions?" Zamian asked, his tone Serious.
