The weary tone made Jian Xi's heart ache, and with a sinking feeling, she asked in a soft voice, "Did you see your dad?"
"Yeah."
"Didn't go well?"
"Yeah."
Jian Xi figured as much. She felt some sympathy for Nan Mufeng and comforted him, "Then just take your time to talk, there's nothing between father and son that can't be worked out."
"Yeah, I might be delayed for a day or two."
"Is that so..." Jian Xi was overjoyed, "That's great, that's great, take your time talking with your uncle, I'm fine over here."
He's better off not being here, haha!
"Can you manage on your own over there?" Nan Mufeng was quite worried; in his heart, Jian Xi was forever a delicate flower that needed his protection.
"Of course, I can!" Jian Xi laughed lightly, "Did you meet your uncle?"
"Yeah."
