Jian Xi thought the school brawl would blow over like the wind. After all, she, the party involved and the victim, hadn't gone to the police station and didn't plan to press charges.
But early Saturday morning, she received a call from the police station. The staff member on the phone was incredibly polite, "Jian Xi, is that you?"
"Yes."
"The girls who attacked you on Friday have been detained by us, you don't need to worry about anything, they have assured they will not cause you trouble again once they're out."
Jian Xi was astonished.
"Of course, if you still insist on pressing charges, you can do that too!"
"I didn't say I wanted to press charges..." Jian Xi was a bit confused.
"Really? But your father is here right now saying he wants to press charges..."
"What?" Jian Xi was even more baffled.
