"Finished walking with your mom?" Jian Xi turned over, hugging the blanket, her eyes half-open and half-closed, sleeping without knowing the time.
Nan Mufeng tapped her little nose, "It's ten o'clock at night now."
"Ah, it's so late already?" Jian Xi sat up, surprised she had slept for so long.
"If you're tired, just keep sleeping." Nan Mufeng pushed her back down.
Jian Xi yawned lightly, indeed feeling sleepy, "And you?"
"Of course I'll sleep with you." Nan Mufeng squeezed onto the bed as if it were only natural.
Jian Xi's face flushed with embarrassment, "No, that's not okay."
"Why not? The whole family knows we're getting married; it's perfectly normal for us to sleep in the same room."
"It's still not okay." Jian Xi stretched out her little foot and kicked him off the bed.
Her fair and delicate little foot, on the azure blue bedding, looked particularly fair and petite.
Nan Mufeng's gaze deepened as he caught her foot, "Trying to kick me again?"
