The voice was very calm, yet shockingly abrupt, causing the girl to shrink her neck. Xiao Buli glanced towards the kitchen doorway. At the entrance of the kitchen, Lu Xinying looked at the girl with a trace of regret.
(She's pretty good-looking, not as much as Wu though, but very pure. Too bad you saw us.) Lu Xinying thought to himself.
"I'm really sorry you saw our faces, but I have to kill you," said Lu Xinying as he pulled out a dagger and walked towards the girl. Xiao Buli, however, drew his sword like lightning, placing it between them, "There's no need for that," he said indifferently.
"But she saw us," Lu Xinying's advance was stopped by the sword, yet his gaze remained fixed on the girl's neck. The girl kept retreating backward, but the kitchen was so small, where could she hide?
