The trials of the Shaking Light Star Tower had always involved Eight-Armed Snake Demons of the same rank for the first fifty levels. From the 51st level on, the challenges featured Eight-Armed Snake Demons of a higher rank. Overcoming this first level greatly increased the likelihood of the Star Tower intelligence adjudging the trial as passed.
Of course, clearing more levels also increased the chances of passing the trial and yielded greater Star Tower Mall Points rewards.
