Death Herald Crows swooped down from the canopy of the sky, their wings entwined with bundle after bundle of women's hair, entangling any ordinary saint who ventured too close, leaving them unable to struggle free, only to be devoured by the swarm, eventually drained of all their blood and left as nothing but a mummified corpse.
It would have been bad enough with just one, but the tower was besieged by a dense, whirling mass of crows, their onslaught seeming as if it could bring the entire sky crashing down.
This was Merlin's second strategic concept:
Swarm the monsters!
And not just any monsters but flying ones, utterly vile creatures swarming chaotically, those completely covered in filth!
