The child in the swaddling cloth was a newborn baby, but its cheeks and arms were covered with fine scales, and it had a snakelike tail, twisted and covered with a mucus that had yet to fall off.
Such a monstrous child, however, made the wealthy old master's eyes sparkle as he touched it with his palm, infatuatedly saying, "So adorable."
While talking, he rubbed it with his forehead, as if showing affection to the infant.
But the baby seemed to sense something, its newly opened eyes were all black without any white, and it clawed at the swaddling cloth, trying to crawl out and escape.
Just then, the wealthy old master, with a smile on his face, suddenly opened his mouth wide.
It was a fierce, gaping maw, filled with sharp teeth.
