The Liches ultimately didn't get their stakes back, as Andrey's Executors were all helping the members of the Literary Society resist those crazed, rioting Liches. Having lost their reason, these skeletal frames were just shoving each other in disorder, howling and swinging their fists. This gave the enforcers a sigh of relief, although at this moment they would rather turn around and give the smug members of the Literary Society, frequent visitors of the Punishment Hall, a piece of their mind, even among the enforcers there were many Liches who had lost money.
But rules had to be followed, and accepting a loss in a bet was also one of Andrey's rules.
Andrey's riot did not continue.
