"Not that I like Rota," Durin said to Vili while discussing Rota's situation, "but because this young man can be useful to us."
He then explained that Rota, being slick, could be easily bribed with only some benefits and opportunities.
As for how to match opportunities with benefits, that was something human intervention could achieve.
"I understand," Vili nodded.
"I see you don't understand at all, but that's also alright. You all just need to learn how to fight. Leave these various tricks to others," Durin finished, then turned his head towards the Orderly who was running towards him, the latter saluted Durin: "Sir, urgent military information, the Green-skinned Orcs have just breached our northern defense line."
Durin was startled, then immediately got up, and with a grab, the map in the central tent flew over to him: "At what position, show me."
"Right here," the Orderly pointed on the map.
Durin was silent for a while: "Go and inform the others."
