Big Orange recommended the AK74 for its mass production, durability, ease of manufacture, and most importantly, its simplicity to maintain when scaled up.
However, when placed in the hands of a Giant, even if captured by Green-skinned Orcs, they couldn't use it—it was too bulky, guns used by Giants were not easily managed by Orcs.
The weapon used 20mm caliber autocannon ammunition, which could be modified to semi-automatic. If the Giant could handle the weapon, fully automatic wasn't out of the question—after all, for a four-meter-tall Giant, anything was possible.
