Durin arrived at the Summer Night Palace very early the next morning, driving in invisibly. When he found Romiel, the kid was smoking in a stairwell corner.
Durin walked upstairs and slapped him on the back.
Then he watched the guy scream and tumble all the way down the stairs.
"The Summer Night Palace doesn't belong to your family, does it? Couldn't you at least say hello? I thought it was my uncle or my mom, Gala!" Romiel, whom Durin had saved with Healing Techniques, wore a ferocious look on his face, "Talking about how smoking is bad for young people's lungs, how old do I even look? The whole family uses me like a slave, do you think it's easy for me to smoke a cigarette?"
"No, what's this about you being treated like cattle now?" Durin laughed.
"What does 'cattle' mean, is it a Changtangians phrase?" Romiel asked.
"Close enough. Anyway, I wanted to ask you, what did that old fogey from the Vincent Family say last night?"
