Sora West was actually a death row prisoner!
This was the first thing Durin thought of.
Then, he naturally thought of why—just for the title of the Third Secretary of Northern Doctrine, he had probably been sentenced to death in absentia multiple times already. What's called an escape fanatic, that's someone who simply breezes out of jail despite being caged.
How exhilarating.
However, it was not easy to determine whether this old man followed the path of a cornered beast or that of a prisoner, and to be honest, it was not easy to confirm either.
Durin certainly couldn't shamelessly ask the old man, "Hello, Secretary Sora, may I ask if you are a cornered beast or a prisoner."
How could you even ask that.
Thinking of this, Durin felt quite sorrowful again.
There was still too little intelligence.
"No worries, I'll go investigate next time and ask which guild or organization is knowledgeable about paths, and then you can make your move."
