Mr. Ron has a surname, Peterson-Adams.

Perhaps they were relatives.

Standing outside the gate, he listened to Durin's story. The Half-Elf extended his hand and embraced Durin: "So it seems, Tony and his family, you also helped to bury them, is that right?"
