Durin woke up to the feeling of a breeze entering the room. He sat up and noticed that the door to the balcony was left slightly ajar.
Standing in front of the door, through the sand window-formed curtain, Durin saw Melinda's back. She was leaning on the balcony railing, looking at the distant harbor shrouded in fog.
Durin quietly pushed the door open, but the sound of his footsteps still drew Melinda's attention, and she turned her head.
"The fog is so thick, you can't see the ships and the sea," Durin said as he came up beside Melinda. From here, all you could see of the sea was fog, barely making out the shape of the harbor.
Melinda hummed, the little rabbit in a white robe looking somewhat sorrowful: "Yesterday, after hearing what the prince said, I became worried about my brothers—some of them believe in the Northern Doctrine."
