Watching her young lady being escorted to the door by Mr. Durin, Melinda opened the door with a nod and a smile, "Mr. Durin, you really have had a hard day today."
"Hard day? Rather, it's you, Melinda, whose materials still aren't ready," Mr. Durin said, his smile carrying a hint of puzzlement.
This sparked a twinge of resentment in Melinda's heart—certainly not toward Mr. Durin, but she felt that the giants were truly intolerable: "Let's wait a few more days, young sir. If that won't do, I'll take your advice and use your alloy."
"Alright then, I'll be going back first," Mr. Durin said with a smile as he bid farewell, then he walked towards his small building.
Melinda turned to Irene, who was chattering nonstop about the fun stories of the day.
