Watching his boss hang up the phone, with a face that shifted between shadow and light for a long time, Jax tentatively asked.
"Was there a problem with the press conference?"
Gru took a deep look at his subordinate and sighed.
"Why would a king give up his kingdom just for a son?
So, I've realized, I probably won't ever be a king in this lifetime."
Jax understood what Gru meant; he opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing.
"What's with the new person in the ABC live broadcast? How did he end up wearing the kidnapper's mask?" Gru asked another question.
"I don't know, but the reporters who just went in ran into a trap set by the kidnappers. One died, one got seriously injured.
But the remaining two actually continued the live broadcast, and now CNN and FOX have already started broadcasting live as well."
