Walking through the long corridor of the estate, the twilight light shone on Antony through the windows on one side of the corridor. The warmth of the evening winter sun was scant, but Antony felt a long-missed warmth of kinship emanating from his daughter.
They should have had a proper talk long ago, yet over all these years, it truly never happened.
"The conflict between you and Achilles has been going on for many years, and it was his fault. He's so much older than you and should have indulged you a bit."
Pushing her father's wheelchair, Temir didn't emphasize too much on her problems with Achilles.
"There's no conflict, Daddy. Sometimes my brother can be a bit controlling, but it's for my own good."
Antony closed his eyes, unsure whether he was happy or not.
Seeing the change in his daughter brought some joy to Antony, but it was overshadowed by sadness.
