The wind in July gently blew, comfortable and not clingy. Hexia sat by the lake in a white dress, her hands slightly brought together to form a triangular space, with snow-white fragments floating in her palm.
The slightest breeze passed between her palms, and the fragments rotated in the wind, producing a tinkling sound. The girl's eyes were closed, with a faint azure crown feather mark on her forehead.
Time quietly passed, and not far from the lake a few birds with pristine white feathers swam under the lotus leaves occasionally pecking at small fish, or diving into the water to play, and then popping their heads back up. They were similar in size to swans with an elegant stature, and their beautiful crown feathers easily reminded one of divine birds from myths.
