In the torrential rain, a blue ripple spread out, forming a spherical shield that blocked the rainwater from the outside world, allowing it only to flow along the outer surface of the sphere. Within the barrier covered by the defense system, the tilted, collapsed buildings resembled single trapezoidal hills, with the windows of the lower floors looking like individual bastion cells, housing personnel who set up guns and weapons.
The original plan was to blow up the building for a quick breakthrough, but the terrain that had formed now made the defenses of Cosesides even more concentrated and difficult to confront.
In the midst of gunfire and explosions, the blue spherical shield remained unshakably still. That thin layer, like an indestructible wall, firmly blocked all the bullets, beams, crossbow bolts, and more. Even explosives could only create a small dent, which then quickly returned to its original shape.
