The princess in a white dress embraced the prince, and they danced together, spinning around in the dance floor, their snow-white skirts swirling like the feathers of a swan, so beautiful that they became the center of everyone's attention.
Yet, in a corner behind the audience, a dark-haired girl in a black dress silently watched the scene unfold from a standing mirror placed against the wall.
Later that night, the princess returned to her chamber and once again stood in front of the vanity mirror, though this time there were no maids present in the room, just herself.
Looking at their reflections in the mirror, the two girls began to argue; afterward, the girl in the white dress lowered her head in silence, then suddenly picked up a pair of scissors and heavily smashed them against the mirror.
The mirror shattered, blood flowed from between her fingers, she covered her face and wept, then fell asleep.
