The oath was not long, and compared to the oaths taken by members of the Federal Congress upon their inauguration, it was much more relaxed. The real constraints were just two: one, do no evil; two, do not deceive. The original oath of the Songstress actually included a third clause, which was not to violate the law. However, there were simply too many laws within the Federation. Eventually, this led to some comical situations, such as a case where a Songstress was accused by some of mirroring and discriminating against a minority group in her lyrics, violating anti-discrimination laws.
