Within the underground training ground of Edith Academy, Tilan sat beside the pool, the water clear and reflecting ripples of light under the glow of the fluorescent lamps above.
She closed her eyes and gently lifted her palm, then a deep blue flame emerged, twisting and gradually turning into a small blue ring of fire, which was not much larger than a hand. It spun over the surface of the water and then shed sparks, tiny embers that, despite their insignificant size, instantly froze the water upon contact, forming sharp, spiky ice flowers.
Soon, the entire pool was frozen over, covered with large patches of ice flowers billowing with cold air.
