Ping'an Hotel had six floors; aside from the lobby and restaurant on the first floor, floors two to six housed guest rooms.
Each floor featured one suite that was both the most luxurious and the most expensive, all located at the very end of the hallway.

The soundproofing in the Ping'an Hotel was actually quite good, and carpets covered every room and corridor so that during the storm, with its howling winds and torrential rains, if the noise upstairs wasn't particularly loud, it might not be heard downstairs at all.
