Chu Dazhuang's head was spinning from the lecture, but he still stood there affirming. On the other side, Fa Lang, the lay Buddhist, was speaking with impressive eloquence, citing scriptures and drawing a lively crowd.
Chu Dazhuang, however, was growing increasingly confused. He frowned and saw the lay Buddhist was about to go on a tangent, so he immediately interrupted.
"Wait a moment."
After these words were spoken, the lay Buddhist stopped and looked at Chu Dazhuang.
"Master, I understand all that you've said."
Chu Dazhuang spoke, pausing briefly, then proceeded to speak again after the pause.
"But what is the question you want to ask?"
With that question, he went straight to the point for Fa Lang.
She had spoken at length, all for the sake of hearing Chu Dazhuang's response. At that moment, Fa Lang said in a soft voice, smiling as she looked at Chu Dazhuang.
"Amitabha, all that I have said boils down to one point."
