After the ambulance arrived, Chu Dazhuang, accompanied by Li Xin, walked straight to the clinic.
Sitting in the car, gripping the steering wheel, Dazhuang gazed ahead while Li Xin, in the passenger seat, cried inconsolably. Despite her efforts to hold back, tears relentlessly streamed down.
Seeing Li Xin crying like that, Chu Dazhuang didn't know what words of comfort to offer. After all, with such an incident at home, he was at a loss for words.
After some thought, Dazhuang, perched in the car, only spoke softly after a long while.
"You can stay at the clinic for the time being," he said, his voice lingering.
In the passenger seat, Li Xin turned to look at Chu Dazhuang, hesitating before speaking. She opened her mouth, but then, seemingly deeming it inappropriate, closed it again softly.
As Dazhuang drove, he pondered for a moment and then spoke gently.
