In the living room, Wu Ming stood there, his eyes fixed on the door that had been gently closed.
He felt very anxious and didn't know what Chu Dazhuang had discussed with the old master inside.
After what seemed like a long time, the door to the old master's study upstairs slowly opened. Then, Chu Dazhuang came out with a beaming smile, followed by the old master.
"Dazhuang, I won't see you out this time."
"Oh, there's no need, old master. I'm really happy to have had this chat with you."
"Well, as long as you're happy, that's what matters."
"Won't you stay for a meal?"
"No, I won't stay for the meal."
At the bottom of the stairs, Wu Ming was bewildered. When the door had opened, he had rushed to the stairwell, wondering if their talk might have broken down. But now, seeing the two of them, it seemed like not only had they not had a fallout, but they had actually enjoyed their conversation.
