Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Sister Flowers

While pondering over this divination sign,

Chu Dazhuang returned to the Chu family's small courtyard.

But he did not go in right away.

Leaning against the door, he listened for a while; the quarreling that had started when he left had already stopped.

Only then did Chu Dazhuang cautiously open the door.

He wanted to slip along the wall to his room.

However, the moment he opened the door,

a woman's voice, laden with sarcasm, rang out.

"Well, well, isn't this late at night for Dazhuang to be back? Which little wife's house did you go to get some fun from?"

The speaker was Chu Dazhuang's aunt, Xu Fengjiao.

That sly woman was currently wearing a bright red sheer nightgown.

Although the gown was generously sized, her extremely proud curves were not to be concealed.

Step by step, she approached Chu Dazhuang from the middle of the courtyard, fanning herself with a palm-leaf fan. It seemed to Dazhuang that he could hear the surge of great waves, endless like the waters of the Yangtze River, descending from the heavens in a majestic vista.

Good gracious, her legs.

With assets like these, Aunt Fengjiao deserved her reputation as the number one woman of Taoyuan Village.

Chu Dazhuang's head was spinning a bit from the few steps it took his aunt to walk over to him.

But the next words that followed snapped Chu Dazhuang back to reality.

"You bloody idiot, always knowing to eat but not to work. Just look at that dumb face of yours, you're all set to stay a bachelor for life."

What was as proud as Xu Fengjiao's assets was her vitriolic tongue.

She was exceptionally sharp and mean-spirited.

Chu Dazhuang, though accustomed to it, felt his eyes flush with anger upon hearing the words "stay a bachelor."

That Gui Qin sister-in-law should have been his betrothed, his wife by child promise.

If his parents were still alive, she would've been his bride.

All that had been snatched away by that diseases-ridden ghost of a cousin.

Although he couldn't blame Xu Fengjiao, she was still the second wife of his uncle.

He couldn't help but hold a grudge against her.

Chu Dazhuang snorted coldly,

and immediately retorted,

"If it weren't for that doomed ghost ruining my marriage, my wife would've been lying in the inner room right now."

"You, you, how dare you speak that way about your cousin?"

Xu Fengjiao's face turned as soon as she heard these words.

She might have been the second wife, but the dead short-lived ghost was her sister's son.

Unable to bear the news of her son's death, her sister passed away after falling ill.

And so, Xu Fengjiao took her place.

But in fact, Xu Fengjiao had long been involved with her brother-in-law.

She always held that secret guilt, thinking she had wronged her sister.

Therefore, she always went out of her way to protect her sister's and that short-lived ghost's reputation.

Now, hearing Chu Dazhuang speak like this, with such malice, she felt like giving him a couple of good slaps on the spot.

"What, did I say something wrong? If that consumptive ghost hadn't taken over my betrothal, could he have married Gui Qin?"

"Pah, back then, your whole family was nothing good, ruining my betrothal! And now you still dare to provoke me with this? Truly a bunch born base!"

"You, you, you…"

Xu Fengjiao was so anguished by Chu Dazhuang that she couldn't even speak clearly anymore.

Although she was usually quick-tongued, this was a topic she inherently felt guilty about.

Add to that, Chu Dazhuang had always been obedient, relying on the Chu family for his food.

So, she had never seen Chu Dazhuang as a proper person.

Now, to be cursed at by Chu Dazhuang like this left her disoriented.

But who was Xu Fengjiao?

She had been known for her fierceness since childhood, and with her assets that towered over others, plus her beautiful appearance, she was always the center of attention wherever she went.

It was only after a moment's stupor,

that she wrapped herself in a ferocious aura and fought back.

"The nerves of you!"

"Humph, I'm not about to waste my breath on you. I'm laying it down right here, if you don't plow those two acres on the west side of the village for me by tomorrow, you can just get out of this family!"

Upon hearing this, Chu Dazhuang's face darkened.

Those two plots on the west end of the village were the most barren lands owned by the Chu family.

Underground, there were many large chunks of sand, stone, and mud, which simply could not be plowed with a cattle cart.

One could only rely on digging with a hoe, one stroke at a time.

That work was incredibly tiring. In the past, even though that wife was mean, she would give herself three to four days to till that piece of land.

But now, in the blazing sun, tilling those two pieces of land in one day?

It was basically impossible.

This woman was clearly planning to have a falling out with him.

Chu Dazhuang's face darkened.

"Fine, I'll go till the land! Auntie, you just wait and see," he said.

Having said this, Chu Dazhuang left the courtyard without looking back and headed towards his own house.

"Hmph, what a piece of work," Xu Fengjiao scoffed as she watched the defiant Chu Dazhuang leave.

She was waiting for Chu Dazhuang to fail to complete his task the next day, just to see him kneel before her, begging pitifully for food.

...

The next day's sun was scorching.

Chu Dazhuang, shouldering his hoe, arrived at those two plots of land on the west side of the village.

However, he had no intention of tilling any land.

He simply found a cool spot next to the field to rest.

He intermittently glanced at the road leading to the village at the western entrance.

This road was the only one in the village.

The road was well built and even cemented.

However, there were hardly any cars passing by.

At the moment, Chu Dazhuang was considering how to make some money using his "Nine Revolutions Yin Yang Pupil Technique" so he could break away from the Chu family.

Yet, after much thought, he still had no solution.

Let's talk about using "Perspective Vision" combined with acupuncture and massage to treat illnesses. Nowadays, to claim to treat illnesses, one had to have a license. Otherwise, it would be practicing medicine without a license.

Which would get one arrested and thrown in jail!

And what about predicting fortunes and misfortunes?

Although he could calculate accurately, his limited eloquence was a barrier. Fortune-telling nowadays relied entirely on smooth talk.

Those who made their living from it were far better than him.

Thinking this way, the future looked bleak indeed.

Chu Dazhuang was lost in gloomy thought when suddenly,

a car horn honked from the road nearby.

He looked up to see a small sedan pulling up and stopping at the western entrance of the village.

There was nothing peculiar about that.

But the two people who got out of the car caught Chu Dazhuang's attention and made his eyes light up.

They were a pair of sisters.

Both had round, plump oval faces, big eyes, high nose bridges, with very distinct features.

They exuded an indescribable exotic charm.

What's worth mentioning is that these two sisters were almost 175cm tall.

In this village, apart from Chu Dazhuang, whose genetics were exceptional and stood around 185cm tall, most others were quite short.

Compared to the majority of men in the village, these two sisters were towering.

Though they were tall, their body proportions were outstanding.

With such height, their beautiful legs took up most of their stature.

Long and straight, Chu Dazhuang felt like he was almost drooling at the sight.

With legs so long, so straight… If one were to mount them on a stand, they could surely unleash a lethal barrage on the enemy.

This idea, however, was fleeting for Chu Dazhuang,

because he recognized these two women.

They were the twin sisters of the village's security chief.

Since Taoyuan Village was a refuge for people from all over the country, this security chief's ancestors had come from the old borders.

Thus, the twins' names had an exotic flair.

One was named Ayireba, and the other Alinazha.
