The scars on her face had healed a lot and were almost invisible now.
If you didn't look closely, they weren't very noticeable.
Her skin had lightened several shades as well.
Now, she looked just about like a normal girl, not particularly pale, but at least no longer dark.
"You've gotten a lot whiter," Xu Niannian said with a smile.
"Really?" Xu Sisi's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and she grabbed Xu Niannian's hand and asked, "Am I as white as you?"
"You're still far behind," Xu Niannian said with a jab of her finger on her forehead, "You think you can achieve it all in one step?"
Xu Sisi was poked by Xu Niannian and fell back onto the bed, covering her forehead and giggling like an idiot.
She had gotten whiter.
She had actually become whiter.
This was such an exhilarating thing.
Xu Sisi was so overwhelmed with joy she almost cried; these past few days she hadn't looked in a mirror at all and had no idea what she looked like now.
